Remarks

God aspect 1.Very few colleges in India offer dual degree program in Biotechnology 2. Great exposure to studentsBad aspect1. Too many students in one class leads to problem while performing lab experiments. Each and every student doesn't get a hands on experience.2. Too many unnecessary subjects for engineering students like Economics, Social Science 3. Classes end up late. Too many classes are assigned. Students have to sit from 9 am to 6pm and attend these classeswebsite- www.amity.edu/admission

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Faculty student ratio was a bit dwindled. A single faculty for a strength of 60-70 students is not good. 95% of the faculties are Ph.D. Some faculty members taught on board while some taught us via projector. Examinations are - minors and majors. Minors are the internal assessment whereas majors stand for end semester exams. All the notes are provided by the faculties. They also recommend books to read from library. Exams were not at all difficult to pass.

Internships Opportunities

DRDO. It's a govt. organisation. It doesn't provide stipends.

Placement Experience

3.5

Majority of the company that visit for campus placements are IT. Various companies like Samsung, Google, Ranbaxy, Accenture and many more.

College Events

The annual fest is held annually in the month of march known as AYF( Amity Youth Fest). It's a 3 day fest, in which various institutes showcase their talents. It ends with a star night where famous actors and singers perform like Mika Singh, Farhan Akhtar, Raftaar etc. Apart from this fest another fest named Imbush Era is conducted by MBA students in the month of February. All the lastest books and journals are available in the library. Apart from the main Central library, law department has its own library.University has gym, sports ground, Arcadia, Swimming Pool.Every year sports fest named Sangathan is conducted in the month of Sept- Oct. It is conducted for a month where different Departments compete with one other in various sports like Badminton, chess, swimming, volleyball, basketball, kho-kho, handball to name a few. It ends with a cultural ceremony called as Sangathan closing ceremony.Different department has different social groups and societies. My department was Biotechnology which has its own dramatics society - Manthan, dance society- zeal, singing society and fashion society. My department had different clubs and committees as well like- Photography club, Genomics club, Hospitality committee etc.Same way other departments had their own clubs, committees and respective societies.

Campus Life

5

Campus infrastructure is humongous. All the departments are air conditioned with wifi. Central library is huge, it has Wifi as well & can withstand around 300- 400 students at once. There are different canteens in different blocks like D block, E block, I block but the major cafetaria is in H block. University has its own Dominos, Moot Court, Bikaner and few other eating joints apart from Cafeterias. Every block has its own stationary shop and xerox shop. University has gym, sports ground, Arcadia, Swimming Pool,

The placement of my college are decent with many opportunities. Many big companies came to our campus like Decathlon, times now Placements packages of these companies were almost 4-5 lac. It mainly focuses on making students industry ready Also our colleges have a seprate Placement cell which handles all these placements In case of limited collage placement the collage still supports students by improving their employability thorough workshops internships and guidance

Some local and local-level comanies even visit for campus recruitment with average offers. Average package: 2-4 LPA, highest around 9-10 LPA 60-90 percent students get placed. My plan is to develop my skills and attain a good job or go for higher studies after degree.
