Remarks

I availed the OBC quota as I got 69th rank in it and 248 in general. I applied for both Government colleges for MCA i.e. KNIT Sultanpur and IET Lucknow. There were 4 rounds of counseling. In the first round, I got the KNIT and kept getting that for 3 rounds. I was hoping to get IET. And Luckily got in the last round.

Course Curriculum Overview

I choose this course because I had an interest in the computer field. So i want to excel my skills in it. There is a maximum of 5-6 subjects of ours each handled with its own faculty and 64 students in the course. The faculty is very educated and qualified but the way of teaching is so poor. Due to the Covid situation, we're getting online classes. They dont take classes that seriously. Their prior focus is on BTech students as the college is known for BTech.Term Exams are good. They're not very difficult to pass. Each can get very decent marks and Percentages.

Placement Experience

Students of MCA use to appear in placements with the BTech students so the ratio is quite poor. Companies mostly take the more skilled ones. So if a student is as skilled as btech one. They can give tough competition in the placement. My plans are to try for the placement. Otherwise, I will try for the off-campus placement.I heard IETians can get off campus that easily as compared to campus ones.

Fees and Financial Aid

In terms of fees as it is a government college. It doesn't cost very much. Due to covid, it cost me 64775 for the first year. Hostel and mess fee is not included. Including that it may cost upto 94000. Most of my classmates even got the scholarship of around 52000 although I haven't got the scholarship due to insufficient funds. Scholarship name: UP govt scholarship

Campus Life

As we're living in a covid period. I haven't stayed that much on campus. There are many clubs that involve students to participate in their fields like singing, art, gaming, sports, photography, and many more. Students can develop and live their skills to the fullest.I heard many fests are organized.

Likes

Faculties are supportive. They are pretty approachable whenever you need them, they'll their best to resolve your doubts and problems
Labs and classrooms ar every engaging and make it very interactive for the students to participate in.
Cafeteria and the food is really fine, you'll get every variety in there.

Dislikes

Sometimes wifi may not work, but only sometimes
Schedule is very tight packed, you need to be very discipline to take out your time for extra preparation.
Morning classes starts from 8:30, students coming from far away may find it difficult to travel

Placement Experience:

To be honest, placements here are pretty decent, but they really depend on how much effort you put into your own projects, internship and how well you've enhanced your skills. You can start appearing for campus drives from the 3rd semester, so you don't get much of a break. The company list is a mix we get some big tech firms and a bunch of startups too.

I like most in the college is the faculty.
I like the students because I have made many friends in the college
Environment is also good in the college like they have cafeteria, playground,labs,cultural rooms etc.

I don't like the strictness sometimes in the college

Placement Experience:

Placements are good and the average package, I would say s 6lpa which is a very good starting package at the current time the getting placed percentage is 100% of all the students who got placed at the good package.

Entrance Preview:

Entrance exam name was MCA. AMU is the only one college in this examination. Students from all over participated in this examination. They had 30 seats. I scored around 80%.

Entrance Preview:

I did not take any entrance exams as I was eligible for enrollment directly based on my academic marks in graduation and Xth and XIIth. I also got a discount of fee based on the same. I opted for Amity distance learning because it is the best option for distance learning. They provide a lot of resources both online and offline to succeed in the course.

I choose this college as it is autonomous and government funded institute. This college holds first position in terms of ranking in all aktu colleges in UP.
