Remarks

I applied for pondicherry university, BHU, DU. In pondicherry university, I was on the waiting list. The covid period stopped me from going. I belong to ST quota. My rank is 13th in the Odisha Pg entrance exam There were only 5 seats for the ST quota in Ravenshaw University. Since this college was my first preference, fortunately, I made it.

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose this course because I did my B.sc in this subject and also I like botany. Teachers are cooperative, they always inspire us to choose whatever we want.. They give chance to every student .The relationship among us is very good. Due to covid, the exams are being delayed.. I find online exams to be more difficult since they give lengthy questions.. I think that's their strategy to cut marks as much as possible lol.

There are many internship oppurtunities offered to students doing PhD and to bba itm students. We never had that oppurtunity for internships so we never applied. But many companies as I mentioned before, give internship oppurtunities. So I don't have much idea.

Placement Experience

Since I am from the botany department, there are no campus placements for us. But other departments like bba, itm, ca they have their campus placements. Companies like info city, nestle, Deloitte offer placements. After MSc degree, I will go for civil services. There are many other options particularly in this line but I will opt for other

Fees and Financial Aid

Since it's a government university, the fees are likable. The college provides internships, scholarships and many departments provide college campus oppurtunities too. I haven't applied for any scholarships to date, so I don't have much idea about it.

Campus Life

Thanks to this corona, there were no functions or extracurricular activities. Our batch didn't get to enjoy any fest. I only heard about them. But our college used to hold fests, hostel functions, puja celebrations, sports, etc.

Overally, it was a good experience studying here and the techniques we study here are useful for our future.

Likes

The lab infrastructure here is very good with many instruments, chemicals, etc.
The research proposal and seminar conducted are useful for our future reference.
The teaching method of the faculty members are excellent.

Dislikes

If we had our own campus, it would be a bit better.
There is AC in our lab, it would be better if AC would also be in our classrooms.
There should be more fans in the canteen.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I am a student at AIPH University of Zoology Honors. My area of interest is zoology and the faculty members here are very supportive. So, I chose zoology as my core subject. There are specific faculties for every subject. All the faculties of our University are PhD professionals and their method of teaching is excellent. All the topics that are taught in the class are exam-oriented. The exams are conducted once every month. There are two mid-term and one end-term in each semester. The final year is mainly concerned with research proposals and seminars.

Likes

Faculties are good, well experienced and cooperative.
Lab facilities are very good and all the instrument are well maintained by our Lab assistant.
Different books and journals are present in library for students.

Dislikes

Canteen facility is good but it need some development.
Transport facility should be improved as the day scholars face a lot of problems.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because i want to study in details about the microorganisms present around us, how they harmful for us and how they are beneficial for us. And i also chose this course so that i can serve the society as a microbiologist. The faculty members are highly qualified, well-experienced, and very friendly. They did their post-docs in various recognized universities. They are all good and cooperative. The term exams are neither too hard nor too easy to pass.

From 4th semester students become eligible for campus placement. Zifo, Virchow, Gsk pharma, Nestle, enzene biotech etc many companies visits and offers job during placement.80-90% of students get placed, and others go for Academics and some others for entrepreneurship.

Remarks:

The atmosphere and the infrastructure is best it is ranked 2 and among all NITs and has 2nd largest campus in India with 1024 acres.

The college is ragging free. The college has desirable amount of professors and phD scholars. The college make students to be prepared for interviews and upcoming exams. The college conducts semimars and meetings.

I completed my M.Sc Life Sciences from Government Autonomous College, Phulbani. It was a memorable period of time for me, the facilities were pretty good and the faculty always engaged in helping us excel in our career with the help of their guidance. The college infrastructure is also quite good.

Remarks:

NISER IS one of the best premium institutes of India which provides you and good knowledge at almost no cost as they give scholarship every month. Apart from this niser is situated near the bhubhaneswar city and near the coastal area so the environment is always good. Niser have around 300 acres with shopping complex and all other facilities.

Remarks:

College is very good but not the best I have seen. It has that capacity to grow big. The main thing of this college is that it is surrounded by beautiful environment no pollution at all.

The selection of the college is basically mark basis and their is a personal interview which was conducted by the export biotechnologist. I have scored good mark in bachelor degree(chemistry honours) .MITS school of biotechnology is the no one biotech college in odisha.

Remarks:

As our university in interior place with no city facilities, We are facing problems with travelling to university and also canteen food. Students infact stay hungry the whole day.

Ravenshaw; a scenario to experience.

I hadn't applied for any other college because my university is the best institute for higher studies in Odisha and I wasn't supposed to go anywhere out of the state. Admission process is very simple you have to just apply form in SAMS portal, after selection download your intimation letter and go to the respective college with all your documents. Ravenshaw is the best

I am student of adisha bord in 12th. Basically i choose to do bsc chemistry honours . I give 5 colleges for selection . First i was selected for bjb autonomous college but I waited for further selection . I get ravenshaw in 3rd selection so that I came to ravenshaw. This is also my first name of college list.
