Remarks

Poornima University is decent university. The fees is decent enough, management is working hard for the students. So, I think one should consider this university.

Entrance Preview

I took JEE Main and I was not able to perform well since I didn't prepared for it. I had 67% in my 12th and I got admission on the basis of +2 marks.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Pretty good. The syllabus is pretty good. It will make your work your ass off. The university is trying everything possible way in making you industry fit. We have mock drives and aptitude tests from the 1st semester itself. If you are an average student you will be able to survive and if worked as they told, chances are that you will out come out of the university with a decent job.

Internships Opportunities

Yes, just now I got an email that the university is looking for a PHP intern for six months. We have partnership with AISEC where they will provide opportunities for students of our university to go out and work in another country.

Placement Experience

4

Placements is decent. Companies do visit the campus for placement. I've seen 5 companies coming on campus in the 1st month itself. So, I would say that placement is decent. It ranges from 2. 5 lacs to 8-10 lacs depending on the student. All service based companies come here for placement and product based company like Zomato, Amdocs have been here for placements.

College Events

4

Prayogam, Lakshya NASA for architecure students. I am in 1st year so I don't have much idea about this. Lakshya :- It happens every year and lot of activities like singing, dancing, treasure hunts are conducted in it lasts and this all lasts for around 2-4 days and all these are organised in it.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is expensive for some courses and obviously higher than the other colleges in Jaipur. For my course ie. B. Tech Computer Engineering, Fee structure is like Development fee - 25000, Tuition fee - 75000, Semester exam fee - 1200, Registration fee (One time) - 1000, Caution Money (Refundable) - 5000, Annual activity fee - 3500, Enrollment fee - 500.

Fees and Financial Aid

There is a good scholarship available in the university. Its starts from 60 to 67 percent - 20% 67 - 74 percent - 40% relaxation, 74 - 81 percent - 60 % relaxation, 81 - 88 percent - 80% relaxation, 88 and above - 100% relaxation I don't have any scholarship as I took very late admission.

Campus Life

3.5

Gender ratio is about 1:8, Diversity is good as we have lots of other department as well. We have BBA, BCA, B. Arch, B. Des, B. Com and few more programs. We have TEP, where we join clubs like Robotics, Photography, sports, etc. So overall it is a good combination.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Hostel is pretty decent. Food is not that great but it is decent enough and I am sure you will not die. One thing bad is that the hostel fee is very high and not worth the price. So, I would recommend students to stay in a pG near the university as it costs only 5000 P. M.

Alumni/Alumna

Our university is petty new and the first batch just passed out this year itself. So, we don't have that much of a alumni base to take help of.

Exam Structure

Exam structure consists of Internal (40%) and External (60%) in Theory paper and Internal (60%) and External (40%) in practical papers. In internal for theory paper, we haveCIE I - 7 marksMSE - 15 marksCIE II - 7 marks Attendance and Discipline - 11 Marks.

Faculty

4

The faculty in our university is pretty decent. Some are from NITs but most of them are from TIER-II universities and colleges. Although learning very much depends on individual but the faculty with the guidance of people from top positions is trying everything to make sure that the students of this university don't get left out.
