Entrance Preview

This is private college so i had to pass the entrance exam of amity, and I had Passed successfully. I was looking for well disciplined college, and amity provide me what i need. Entrance examination was very easy , any one can pass the entrance.

Course Curriculum Overview

Amity is brand and being a part of it is really great, although it did cost lot but every other private college is demanding the same. College infrastructure and hostel facility both are above the required standards. College provides decent placements.

Placement Experience

Placement scenario is different for different courses. Engineering and Management have better placements than others. Statistically speaking 100% students from these courses gets placed with average salary of Rs 3 Lakh. Major recruiters include Wipro, TCS, NDTV, ICICI and Reliance. Most of the engineering students get an IT job while most management students land up in a bank. If you want a job in your core field, than you can try looking off-campus.

College Events

There are a lot of festivals, at least one of each department. 'Sangathan' is the annual inter Amity sports festival arranged on the foundation day of the college in the month of September. Students from all the Amity campuses in India and abroad take part in this event. Each student has to participate in this festival; not doing so can affect your marks.

Fees and Financial Aid

Amity is a private college , so it doesn't offer any loan facility or scholarship to students, Well if you want to pursue engineering I would say not to do from here. Well some teachers are really good but some are worse they will make your life hell. It's like working in an office.

Likes

The entire College campus is very beautiful
Here practical knowledge is preferred morethan other colleges
Almost Teachers are very friendly and helpful

Dislikes

Somehow basic facilities are messed up like clean washrooms in departments
Sone Departments also don't have drinking water supply for students including mine

Placement Experience:

Basically students from 5th semester become eligible for placement, there are a number of companies which are visited for placement my course doesn't offer placement but many courses like bca, bba, b pharma, biotechnology etc have good placement opportunities Opting for an msc is good for students wanting to pursue bsc zbc

Likes

The environment of campus and classes are very good.
Support of management and faculty in problem is very good.
Students and teachers bond is very good, all the facilities are very good.

Placement Experience:

Placements of university is good in every department of the university, around 5500+ placements Happened this year from my university with a good package in good companies. These were many companies visit our university for placements like, Capgemini, Infosys, Microsoft, Tata, Appollo Healthcare, Phillips, etc.

Likes

I like there teachers teaching methods and their dedication about their responsibility
I like there teachers behaviour if you can't understand what they teaches you can ask again and they will again explain you with patience
I like there laboratory where I derive conclusions by myself

I don't like there one aged teachers behaviour which belong to physics faculty
I don't like there lover point where students sit all day with their girls or boys
I don't like there security guards duties they did not ven check that who is entering in the college

Overall it's was average college as it is not an metropolitan city

Teachers were cooperative and so the faculty .
Very reasonable price for such courses like B.Sc , BA , B.Com

Dislikes

Infrastructure is veryyyyy bad there are proper sufficient area but no infrastructure
Very unhygienic and no amenities of basic college like potable water , hygienic sitting arrangement, broken doors and tables, no digi boards etc
There's no modern ways of learning nor electronics aids for better learning also there's no laboratory for experiment nor tools and ingredients

I had interest in chemistry & zoology so i wanted to pursue B.Sc for my graduation There were no trouble for admission & no strict rules and regulations of policies Infrastructure i would recommend them to ask authority to work on the amenities & resources and better environment with modernized methodologies of teaching with electronic aid will automatically improve the quality of education Frequency of exams were fine and it was pretty average level any average student can learn and write answers with understanding of topics

This college is based on Merit list. Thats why we didn't need to qualify any type entrance for getting Admission. At my admission time the cut off of b.sc was 73%.

Amity University, Lucknow - a rollercoster

I didn't really apply to a lot of colleges, due to some family reasons I was not able to move out of Lucknow.
