Remarks
I filled out a form BHU when forms for the entrance exam were released. The cost of the forms was 600 for the general category. After two I went to give my exam for BHU and after some time results were declared. Certainly, there are benefits for the reservation category.
Course Curriculum Overview
I choose this course as this course has three subjects Physics, Geology, and maths. And Geology has a very wide scope from a career perspective. You can do MSc in geophysics as well after Bsc. For any particular subject, there is one professor for a group of 70 students in my course. A professor here is very highly qualified. Recently one of my professors who taught me in the previous semester has Been counted in the world's top 2% of scientists (his name is Krishnendu Bhattacharya). Due to post-the pandemic effect exams are delayed but they are not that difficult to pass.
Internships Opportunities
You can get an internship in a Byjus-type startup. Most of the opportunities are provided to postgraduate students. But you can apply through the Internshala app. Professor signs easily on referral letter. I haven't applied to any.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees are much less as they provide good facilities. But as there is a fee hike I don't know what it is gonna look like. The fee hike for my course is 50%. Protests are going on but I don't think the government is going to take a step back.
Campus Life
There are many fests if u compare BHU with any average University but if compare it with DU there are fewer fests. Recently medical science students organized Ekagra fest in which many renowned celebrities like Gajendra Verma and Akash Gupta performed. There is a very huge library Central library besides the department libraries. There is a huge number of books but I think they need to get some more new books. Each faculty has its ground in which there are basketball, volleyball, and other courts are there. Free coaches are also there. Then there is the student gym which too is free.
Hostel Facilities
You will get an 8 × 15 sq. Feet room in which there will be two beds, two chairs, and two tables. The room will be shared between two students. There are water coolers, a toilet, and a bathroom outside the room. Quality of food is eatable in Broach hostel but other facilities' mess has better food quality. Hostel fees are submitted online. You can get a room cheaply in Chhitupur.
