Remarks

I'm from the 2021 batch and I didn't take any entrance exam during my admission, all that mattered was my 12th board exam marks. The average of the best four subjects was my cut off but now since the admission process had gone through a revision Common university entrance test (CUET) is compulsory along with your board marks From 2022. Cuet carries 30% weightage Whereas your board exam marks will carry 70%.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The BA program offers the convenience of pursuing multiple discipline subjects. The syllabus is simple and not heavy which clears up time for UPSC preparation. 30: 1 is the student-teacher ratio. The teachers are well qualified mostly with a Ph.D. and the rest with a MA in their respective fields. The teachers are friendly and the teaching is lecture-based. Exams aren't tough and are semester based. The internal assignment carries 25 marks of which 5 marks for attendance, 10 marks for an assignment, and 10 marks for the internal test. The remaining 75 marks are a theory.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees are a bit high and scholarship is mostly unavailable for me, there is almost a 10% hike which made us Panic they should look over it, and the cost to study is very high. Opportunities are comparatively fewer when compared to other colleges. EWS and SC/ST students can apply for government scholarships.

Campus Life

5

Campus life is amazing, like for suppose we had good cricket, football, and basketball ground also the college used to provide all the accessories for sports and we had a huge library with ample varieties of books. Our college used to organize a few fests namely Arambhaha, Diwali, Eco, etc.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The BA English Honours curriculum at DU SOL is relevant and provides a strong foundation in literature and language. The course covers diverse topics that support academic learning and critical thinking. The flexible structure is suitable for distance-learning students. Adding more practical activities, updated study materials, and interactive learning opportunities could further improve the overall course experience.

Labs and libraries are not so good. And there are stray dogs who often steps into classes and make us afraid. College is not fully air conditioned but is on processing.
