Remarks

I applied to this college in offline mode, there are two modes of admission, offline and online. reservation and scholarships are availed to students in terms of their grades in 12th and 10th grade and based on caste too.

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose this course because of the influence of my seniors and family members. there are about 1500 students in ece dept alone and around 200 faculties in the dept. the faculties are mostly well fit for the role, except very few who aren't up to the task. the exams are doable while the semester exams require a bit too much effort.

Internships Opportunities

around almost a quarter-third of companies offer stipends for internships. project assistance by all the faculties in srm is very good and faculties are very responsive when it comes to offering guidance and assistance.

Placement Experience

students are eligible for placements after the 7th semester. about 500 companies visit srm and almost all of the students get placed apparently. the highest package of srm is 1C per annum and the lowest goes as low as 20-30k per month. I'm planning to appear for the placement process after I graduate

Fees and Financial Aid

the fee structure for BTech during 2020 came to roughly 2 lakhs. now at 2023, it stands at 3 lakhs per annum, while cse Engg costs even more. Financial aid and educational loan are availed to the students based on their grades at schooling and caste-based reservation.

Campus Life

there are only a handful of clubs around the college, but there are fests happening everywhere throughout the semester. there is a wide range of books available in the library of srm. the amenities of the classroom are however very poor. srm doesn't maintain its classrooms properly. there are several clubs for literature, coding, NSS, campus life etc run by the students

Placement Experience:

In our University from the starting of Seventh semester we are eligible for campus placements. Campanies like Jubilant food works, Zifo Technologies, Amura Heath Pvt.Ltd, Biocon etc. were some of the companies that visited our campus. Around fifty students got offers from these companies. About 70 percentage of the students got placements successfully. I am planning to pursue a master degree abroad

Likes

Many clubs available from Toastmasters to Campus Life, Our club Toastmasters is one of the peak highlights of our college. We regularly go to corporates to attend meetings of their clubs and network a lot.
Love the Research setup of our college. Has more than 15 COEs present. ABB research centre is the best among them
The bring in a lot of industry professionals every.One or the other event always keeps happening.

Dislikes

Campus is not very huge since it's in the centre of the city but the outside shops make up for this

Placement Experience:

From the very entry into your third year, you will be eligible to most of the placements. The training provided is very exquisite and some of the trainings start as early as 1st year. 2026 highest package was 55LPA. Many companies like from product companies like Microsoft, Capgemini to service based companies like TCS, INFOSYS etc.. visit our campus for regular placements. About 98% of people placed as far as I have heard.

The library is really Awesome in every aspect.
The facilities and labs and everything needed for studies is way above the bar. Great university to actually study and research.

Dislikes

No culturals, and if there is some only secular songs
Strict rules (needed, but some are too strict)

Placement Experience:

From the sixth semester the student are eligible for placements and prominent companies such as bicon, lifecell, zoho, Thermofisher, lmt mindtree, jubilant food works, siemens, bioartha and around 2030 offers has been made os of april 2026 for my batch. the percentage of students getting placed is over 95 percent as the rest of the students have opted for higher studies like me. i plan on doing my masters abroad.

Paramedicals pros and cons

Colleges which I have applied for was Sree Ramachandra institute in tamil nadu, MGR University IISER But I only got confirmed admission from SRM by writing a medical entrance exam. The reason why I chose this course was because my family friend also joined here for architecture and she said the placements are top notch and it provides multiple opportunities abroad I got rejection from IISER because I failed in entrance exam.
