Course Curriculum Overview

I would like to become a software engineer so I had chosen cse in srm. The faculty ratio is nearly 40:1. All the Faculties except research scholars are mostly PhD or M.Sc holders. The level of exams would be nearly medium.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 250000 per year

Internships Opportunities

The internship season starts at the start of 3rd year. Most internships are given by TCS, Microsoft and Amazon. If we perform well during the internship period then it will lead to a pre-placement offer.

Placement Experience

The internships and placements will in the start of the third year. To be precise placements take place in the 6th and 7th semesters. SRM has a good record in placements. 99% of the students mostly get placed in good and average companies.

Fees and Financial Aid

Since I performed well in the SRMJEE exam I got a merit scholarship. The fees were reduced from 3.5 lakhs to 2.5 lakhs per year and the first year was also free of cost. Srm is a good college and I really liked it

Campus Life

There are only two main events taking in SRM. One is a cultural event in Milan and the other one is a technical event in Aarush. Milan event takes place in the first half of the year before semester exams and Aarush takes place in the second half of the year

Hostel Facilities

The rooms available in srm are of three types two sharing, three-sharing and four-sharing. The price of the hostels is pretty decent. But the condition of 2nd-year hostels is considered pathetic in comparison with 1st-year hostels. The hostel food is kind of okayish.

Hostel Fee: INR 150000 per year

Admission

SRMJEE EXAM should need to be written to join this college or else management seats are also available here but it is not worth it. Students can apply through the mains percentile and ranks also for this college.

Placement Experience:

In our University from the starting of Seventh semester we are eligible for campus placements. Campanies like Jubilant food works, Zifo Technologies, Amura Heath Pvt.Ltd, Biocon etc. were some of the companies that visited our campus. Around fifty students got offers from these companies. About 70 percentage of the students got placements successfully. I am planning to pursue a master degree abroad

Many clubs available from Toastmasters to Campus Life, Our club Toastmasters is one of the peak highlights of our college. We regularly go to corporates to attend meetings of their clubs and network a lot.
Love the Research setup of our college. Has more than 15 COEs present. ABB research centre is the best among them
The bring in a lot of industry professionals every.One or the other event always keeps happening.

Dislikes

Campus is not very huge since it's in the centre of the city but the outside shops make up for this

Placement Experience:

From the very entry into your third year, you will be eligible to most of the placements. The training provided is very exquisite and some of the trainings start as early as 1st year. 2026 highest package was 55LPA. Many companies like from product companies like Microsoft, Capgemini to service based companies like TCS, INFOSYS etc.. visit our campus for regular placements. About 98% of people placed as far as I have heard.

From the sixth semester the student are eligible for placements and prominent companies such as bicon, lifecell, zoho, Thermofisher, lmt mindtree, jubilant food works, siemens, bioartha and around 2030 offers has been made os of april 2026 for my batch. the percentage of students getting placed is over 95 percent as the rest of the students have opted for higher studies like me. i plan on doing my masters abroad.
