Course Curriculum Overview

4

Biomedical Engineering was one of the blooming courses in Engineering and students who are interested in the medical and electronic fields can choose this course. Faculties were good at teaching and easy to understand. 1/4th of the faculties in our college are doctorates and many of them are pursuing it. Monthly twice exams will be conducted and it was easy when we pass them.

Internships Opportunities

4

Many companies will come and visit our college during placement sessions. They will select the students according to their skills and give us internship opportunities. Mini project and one major project were done by us in the final year and it was guided by good faculties.

Placement Experience

4.5

During 3rd year at the start of the 6th-semester placement, training is given parallel along with the academic courses. More than 8+ MNC Companies like Hexaware, cognizant, WIPRO, TCS, Zoho, Capgemini, Infosys etc, visited our college and recruited our students. For the past academic year, there were 1500+ offers were given to the students. The highest salary package was 10.5lakhs/yr and the lowest salary package was ?3lakhs/yr. Average placement Percentage is 75.8%. Mostly I prefer to get placed after getting my degree.

Fees and Financial Aid

The cost to study at this college was literally high compared to many other colleges. But the placements are too good and their way of approaching the students for placing them in the company was quite good and comfortable. Since it may be little torture but we can get a job in our hands before leaving college. That's the speciality of this college.

Campus Life

4.5

Here VSBians are allowed only to conduct symposiums annually. That's the only function we have in this college and that often lies in the even semester of that academic year. Many books and local journals are available in our college which is very useful to us. More than 1000+ books were available in our Library. We have a separate Web OPAC library system in our college so that we can access the library at any time. We have won many sports championships and our college gives more importance to sports and extracurricular activities.

Hostel Facilities

3

Hostel Life in VSB was quite difficult but not impossible. There is only timing for mobile phone usage. After the one-hour timing allotted for phone usage, we should return our phones to the respective floor wardens. Sunday phone is fully allowed. The hostel was surrounded by greenish trees and a more elegant environment. The hostel food was not bad and not good. It is ok to eat it. Improvement is done on regular basis according to the feedback given by the students. Hostel fees were 75000/yr and they should be paid in a single payment at the start of that academic year. If we want we can stay in an outside hostel but we should search by ourselves for that.

Admission

I chose this college in TNEA Counseling. For that, I haven't written any entrance exams or other processes. But the college is providing scholarship opportunities for many category students according to their societal privileges awarded by the government.

The specific aspect which is great future on IT Field of the curriculum that influenced my decision to choose the course. The curriculum prepared me to solve tough real-world logical aptitude test and coding test. The course curriculum is only based on the theory in several areas. My suggestion is to improve that too in practical manner for better real-world understanding. The frequency and the timing of my exams along with my perspective on the difficulty level is 2hrs.
