Course Curriculum Overview

4

I am very interested in computer science, therefore, I choose this course and SRM is known for its computer science placements. In SRM you will be taught by either well-experienced faculty or by research scholars. The student ratio here is 1:50. Most of the classes are mostly conducted using a smart board. Teachers use pdf to teach in the classroom and give it for studying. You don't need and books to study but if you need to you can take them from Library. SRM conducts 4 term exams and 1 University exam in a span of 5 months. Term exams are difficult to pass as compared to university exams.

Internships Opportunities

4

SRM offers internships to students for 5 semesters. There are various companies that come for internships and give pre-placement offers to the best students of SRM. The stipend range can vary from 3 lakhs to 4 lakhs a year. After completing the internship many students got converted into employees.

Placement Experience

4.5

From 5-6 semester students become eligible for an internship which is offered by the college and in 7-8 sem you can apply for placement. SRM has a student-led club for the placement process which makes. It is easier to offer the best Placement opportunities to the students. More than 500 companies visit SRM and this number keeps on increasing with time. CSE and ECE students get the highest package in SRM. On campus, the highest package was 40 lakhs offered by adobe. The average package is 6 lakhs which keep on increasing with time. Almost 90% of students get placed in SRM and the rest apply for higher studies.

Fees and Financial Aid

Academic fees for 1 year are around 4,00,000 for B.Tech but SRM also gives some scholarships to the top rankers of SRMJEE also students who are from defense family backgrounds get scholarships from SRM. Many of the passed students got placed on the campus itself and many are doing their studies along with some job on the campus, for example, hostel warden.

Campus Life

4.5

SRM offers a very good campus life which includes two Big fests namely Milan and aaruush which has various programs lined up for the students. Also, some kind of function and event keep on going throughout the year. SRM has a vast library of three floors which contains all kinds of books, research papers, and journals. SRM also has a digital library for the students. Each classroom has well-furnished infrastructure, a digital board, and plug points for laptop charging. There are various clubs for dance, singing, fashion, sports, and many more. SRM has a diverse range of clubs and societies where students can join to enhance their skills. The Directorate of students affairs is the major club run by students.

Hostel Facilities

4

For the first years, there are separated hostels to prevent them from raging. In each room, you can accommodate 2-3 people the room space is spacious and windy. You will get plug points for each person along with a bed and cupboard along with an option for ac/non-ac room. In the hostel, there is a facility for hot/cold water supply. The food is not that good as they don't change the food menu often but it is manageable. For each year we have to register for the hostel within the time stated by the authorities. SRM has a wide range of hostels for each student. Starting from 1,15,000 including food to 3,00,000 a year including food.

Admission

SRM Institute releases its admission form for its entrance test SRMJEE through which any student who has passed class 12 or is going to pass in the current year can apply. SRMJEE is conducted in three phases in online mode. You can find the details related to the application form on SRM official website and register yourself from there. SRM doesn't offer any reservations as such but gives scholarships based on the SRMJEE rank. As stated above SRMJEE is conducted online so it provides a chance of misconduct in the exams. If the exam is conducted in offline mode it will be more efficient.

From the very entry into your third year, you will be eligible to most of the placements. The training provided is very exquisite and some of the trainings start as early as 1st year. 2026 highest package was 55LPA. Many companies like from product companies like Microsoft, Capgemini to service based companies like TCS, INFOSYS etc.. visit our campus for regular placements. About 98% of people placed as far as I have heard.
