Remarks

From my point of view college is good but for some things it is not good but overall all you can get all type of experience and can expand your network as you will friends from all over world.

Entrance Preview

I took the SRMJEEE exam in 2015 and got a rank of around 7000 and was called on the first day of counseling and Admission process is simple depending on the rank and on first come first serve basis.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Course structure is decent not too good not too bad some of the subjects I think are of no use and some are very useful and there are around 150+ electives combined from all departments we have to choose 1 from the department and other as open which we can choose any and electives have a vast variety and are also very much interesting .

Internships Opportunities

My University provides different platforms for internship but not the internship and number of partners like internshala are there for us to help in internship.

Placement Experience

4

Placements for Electronics, Computer Science and mechanical are good but for other branches it's not that much good and for Civil also sometimes placements are Good. Companies like L&T , TCS, Infosys, cognizant are always there for placements.. Last year in 2016 ECE student got a placement for 34lakhs and lowest was 3.2 lakhs and Infosys and cognizant always do mass placements. Percentage of Placement is around 80-85 but really depends on performance of individual.

College Events

4.5

There are numerous events like aarush the tech fest, Milan the cultural fest, khel the sports event, tarana the house event and jhalak the intra college cultural event etc. Milan and Aarush are big events with participation from many other different colleges and number of celebrities come DJ nights and dance parties and gaming events with prizes worth lakhs and in tech fest events like robo wars, quadcopter battles and many other events and singers also come and concerts are there..

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee is feasible for tuition and studies but for mess and hostels I think is not feasible Hostel fee also depends on the hostel you take and the facilities you choose ranging from 110000-400000 including mess and laundry. Hostels are decent and not very clean but cleaning happens daily and also intimes are there for boys 9:30 and girls 7:30 and biometric attendance is there for girls and the security is little bit strict for girls good for them..

Fees and Financial Aid

Educational loans are provided by University and scholarship of 25% is there for students scoring CGPA 9 or more and also SAP programs are there for which you can go to MIT, YALE, and other such Universities if CGPA is greater than 9 and also technical coding and hackathons are there which can yield you scholarships.

Campus Life

4.5

Gender ratio is around 3:4 and campus life is great and events are awesome and lifetime of experience is gained in many event and also workshops and competition are held by different department regularly to boost students. Students from all over India and from 27 other different countries are there but a little bit biasing is there for students from North India and can be neglected if you work hard and don't give them any chance to do so.

Hostel Facilities

4

Hostel facilities are a little bit strict and there are 2 warden per hostel and around 16 hostel for boys and 22 for girls and more are under construction. There are 3 and 4 sharing room hostels and AC and Non AC hostels and attached bathroom and non attached bathroom ones. Mess food is good on some days and not that much good on some days mess is different for South Indian and North Indian food you can go to any of them and breakfast is good and lunch is sometimes not good evening snacks are there whose quantity is fixed and dinner is also ok and non veg is provided on 3-4 days. PG's are there near campus and are good and well maintained most of the students shift in PG from 2nd year onwards and rent are around 30-45k for 3 BHK and for 6 sharing fully furnished flats and around 25-30k for semifurnished flats..

Alumni/Alumna

College seniors are 1 of the most helpful in college the will help in you every aspect and different clubs and groups are there which will help you in choosing best faculties, labs and other timing for scheduled time table and different batches are there to choose from and SIIC is there which helps in startups and also in teaching you technical details in more depth which is run by SRM alumni and is very helpful..

Exam Structure

Exam structure is not good every month we have exam termed as Cycle test and structure as follows- Cycle Test I - 10% Cycle Test II - 15% Model Exams - 15% Surprise test + Mini Project- 10% University Exams -50% Labs are only twice a week and not that much hectic but exams are very frequent which makes a little hectic and difficult for everyone.

Admission

I got admission through the SRMJEEE EXAM and Admission process is easy I just filled the online form on SRM website and dates were released for offline and online exams and I gave the exam on given date and within a month results were out and counseling dates were announced based on ranks.

Faculty

4

Not all Faculties are good some are good, some are biased some are really bad in my opinion and some are awesome also. Some faculties are very helpful and knowledgeable and some are just there to read what's written in book. I think student to faculty ratio is about 1:70 Some teachers use old school way to teach and some use ppts and interactive videos but it really depends on student, course curriculum is ok I Think some subjects are off no use and the worst is the examination schedule which never has holidays in between.Almost 35-40 % faculties are PhD and others are masters degree but some are really biased.

Placement Experience:

Students can join job drives from the 7th term. Many firms visit the campus for jobs and offer roles in tech and other fields. The pay varies by firm and role. EEC has a good job rate and gives help for job prep. After my degree, I plan to work in the tech field and grow my skills.

Placement Experience:

Students are open to campus placements from 2nd year onwards. There are many companies who visit such as Delloite, Accenture, Cognizant, TCS, Amazon, NatWest, Nokia, etc. Highest package offered is 42 lpa and lowest is maybe 2-4lpa. Around 90% of students get placed here. My plans is to get a job through campus recruitment. Currently I got an internship through campus recruitment in Cognizant so the recruitment is quite nice here.

Placement Experience:

One thing I really need to appreciate at CIT is its placement training program. The placement team conducts regular sessions on 1. aptitude 2. coding 3. communication skills 4. group discussions and 5. interview preparation which helped me feel more confident during placements. The trainers were friendly and always encouraged us to improve our skills step by step. They provide continuous guidance and feedback throughout the training process. Mock interviews and one to one assessments helped me to understand my strength and weak areas and I work on improvements . These sessions not only improved my technical and communication skills but also boosted my confidence . The placement training team played an important role in preparing me for career opportunities and industry expectation

Placement Experience:

Chennai Institute of Technology is an instituition that truly prioritizes student career growth . The placement cell is exceptionallu well-organized ,consistently connecting students with reputed companies across various industries. What makes CIT stood out is the quality of its training staff. They focus heavily on communication , technical knowledge and competitive preparation ,align students with what top companies expect ,and contiuosly push us to improve and meet industry standards. Their structured training helped me to clearly identify my strengths and work on my weak areas, which made a huge difference during interviews and boosted my overall confidence. The department faculty are equally commnedable ,knowledgable ,approachable and genuinely invested in student career. Overall CIT is an excellent choice for anyone focused on building a strong and sucessful career
