Course Curriculum Overview
I am doing my graduation in BSc chemistry as I like chemistry and relatively easy also. So in my class, there are about a total of 13 teachers in theory classes and 9 in practical classes which is pretty much good in comparison with the bio section. Teachers are highly qualified most of them had done there PhD and post-doc from foreign and had published many research papers. Exams are moderate if you can solve pyq religiously you can pass.
Fees and Financial Aid
I don't know much about the fee hike policy, being the central university fee is less. per year cost is around 2500 except hostel. Not everyone gets the hostel As far as I know there is no such thing as a scholarship but if you are from UP you can apply for an up scholarship, and get the money back.
Campus Life
Campus life is good as BHU is a large University it offers a lot of courses. You can interact with students of different backgrounds. Mainly students are from Up, Bihar, West Bengal Odisha and gew from the northeast also. At the Institute of Science, we have an annual function named Aakanksha that happens in January-Februrary. We have an annual sports competition also. The library of BHU is pretty good, and the department library is also there, but the library is a bit crowded most of the time finding a seat is very hard. There are a lot of social groups from different faculty if you want you can take membership.
Hostel Facilities
Not everyone gets the hostel, but I live in a hostel. The hostel is nice at least mine because it's new. The rooms are spacious. Mess food is average, mainly we get typical north Indian food. To get a hostel in the first year you need good marks in the entrance then for the second year you need a good cgpa. The hostel fee for 1 year is around Rs.4500 except the mess fee.
Admission
You need to pass 12th with a minimum of 50% (maths and physics as compulsory subjects). As BHU is a Central University, for admission we need to apply through CUET PG which is the common entrance exam to take admission in all central universities and others which come under this. Application form costs around Rs.1000(GEN) Rs.800 (GEN EWS/OBC-NCL) and Rs.750(SC/ST) and it will increase if you opt for more than 3 courses
