- We have a big lush green campus with a river running behind the campus, which gives a spectacular view.
- Faculty at IIM Sirmaur are very helpful and welcoming for doubts or discussions
- Student run bodies provide us the skills such as people management, team work, etc
Dislikes
- There is a degree of politics in student run bodies which creates a toxic environment
- Not having our hostel in the campus makes it difficult for us, as we have to travel 14 kms daily to and fro.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course as I believed that an MBA degree would provide me with extensive knowledge about the business and the corporate world, which would provide me with a launch pad in the corporate world. There are about 30+ full-time faculty and many visiting faculties at IIM Sirmaur. Exams are conducted in two parts per semester which are Mid-term and End-term.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees at IIM Sirmaur are reasonably placed at 13.75 lakhs for the two-year MBA program. Since the average salary at IIM Sirmaur is around 14.5, the ROI for this institute comes out to be around 1:1, which is better than most private Institutes out there. Scholarships are provided to a few students who come from a financially weak background.
Campus Life
Our annual fest is conducted in the month of February or March, and the name of the fest is "Sierra." We have a decent library which gives us many options in terms of subjects. We also have access to the digital library. Classrooms are well-lit and have air conditioning; they also have a projector and both chalkboard and whiteboard. There is a big green ground field where you can play sports like football, Cricket, and volleyball. We also have a dedicated badminton court. The only drawback is that we don't have a permanent campus
Admission
You must have completed your Graduation with more than 50% marks to be eligible for CAT. In CAT you must score more than 92-93 percentile with a minimum of 75 percentile across all three sections to be shortlisted for CAP calls. There were no application form fees for CAP colleges because it's automatically filled when one fills out the CAT form. CAT form fees were 2400 rupees.
