Zindagi at IIM Sirmaur

There are renowned guest faculty from top schools in the country. And lately, there have been a lot of new permanent faculty recruitments. Easily, over 70 percent of the faculty are excellent. The term exams depend a lot on what is taught in the class and how well you grasp the sessions.

The summer internship record is a solid 100 percent. Students are offered roles as Management interns in the domains of sales, strategy, marketing, operations, and content creation. Companies like HDFC, ICICI, Accenture, and DCM Shriram are among the top recruiters.

There are 100 percent placements, both summer and final. The highest placement for the 20-22 batch was 26.5 LPA and the average stood at 12.74 LPA. There have been international placements of 64 LPA for the year 21-23. However, the placement record is not yet released for the 21-23 batch.

The fees are at par with final placements. The total fee is 1375000 INR. The average package for batch 20-22 was close to 13 Lakh INR, which is expected to go north of 15 LPA this year. The course fee will also increase accordingly.

The annual cultural fest Sierra is held in February. The campus life is colorful. Every festival is celebrated with full enthusiasm. The temporary campus, however, limits the extravaganza. There are all kinds of committees, clubs, and interest groups. A lot happens around.

I got into IIM Sirmaur via CAT exam scores. You need a bachelors in any subject and need a good CAT score. All the application details instructions are available on the iimcat website. CAT cutoffs vary depending on reservations. The process was smooth and clear. It was online due to COVID. It happens offline normally.
