Course Curriculum Overview

4

The Course Curriculum is great and is Judiciary oriented. Whatever you study either comprises of judicial viewpoint or you are trained in such a way that you interpret judicial opinion. It has unique and one of its own kind curriculum which is designed by Ex-CJI S.A.Bobde, and other sitting and retired honorable judges of HC and SC of India. The semester exams are held after each semester of 6 months and they are easy to pass. The questions in exams enable you to think out of the box or beyond the text.

Internships Opportunities

4

In the very first year after 2nd semester, I got to intern in DLSA, Lucknow for the Month of May 2023 wherein I was asked to visit various types of district courts, Jail, Legal Aid, Mediation and Arbitration centres and other departments. I actually sat beside judges and watched the proceedings and built many great contacts.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees are a bit high considering that it is a national University. There are a various number of good scholarship schemes for students of states like Maharashtra, MP, etc. There are no provisions for campus jobs as such.

Campus Life

4.5

Life on Campus is very soothing and more connected to Nature. The lakeside and other amenities are great they administer an eco-friendly campus. There are various fests that are held. Lawkriti - Cultural Event, Sanskrotsav, SHSTROTSAV is held in January and February. At a cultural fest, a renowned artist often performs for us. There are various student-run centers for research too. The whole campus along with its curriculum in the Adjudication course especially, promotes and motivates the culture of Research and Publishing from the very first semester.

Admission

The admission process is a bit unique. After passing through CLAT you need to apply for this course. Only the Top 300 applicants are selected based on rank. This year, 2023 the person last selected had 49.5 marks with a rank of around 4000. Then those 300 selected applicants are asked for Group Discussion. Out of them, only 120 students are selected for Psychometric Test and Personal Interview Round. The psychometric test contains questions that imply how much stable you are consciously or unconsciously while coming to a decision. Then Students are asked to report to the University Campus, Nagpur where the Vice-chancellor, Retired HC/SC Judge, and Psychologist sit in a panel of 5 interviews. Based on the interview only 60 students are inducted.

Interview Experience

3

Yes, as told in the admission process. We have to go through Group discussions, Psychometric Tests, and Personal Interview rounds.GD and Psychometric test rounds happen through online mode whereas for Personal Interview you need to report to University Campus, Nagpur.

NMIMS Kirit P. Mehta School of Law Mumbai is best when it comes to law placements. Corporate Law is the biggest takeaway here and therefore most students here are placed in corporate as insurance and asset management companies are the ones that gives placements opportunities to students of our college.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have chooses this curriculum as I am intrested to do law. Many of students and other peoples praises the college as "Best College of Law" in Marathwada region. To be honest. Really it is best college. Which gives us best curriculum during our academic year. The curriculum of college teaches me how to become a good lawyer. The arguing skills etc. There should be no suggestions from my side just to imrove the course curriculum as it is overall good. The timings and scheduled are fixed by college and university. Generally the exam is in two shifts 10:00 to 1.00 and 2.00 to 5.00pm.

Placement Experience:

The placements are quite good there are 6 to 7 students who have got PPOs in their 4th year itself. All the famous law firms come to our college, the advantage we have over the other colleges is our location, as our college is based in a prime area of Mumbai, so all the famous law firms' offices are quite nearby. Maybe around 80 percent of students get placed by the end of 5th year, and our placement cell is also very efficient and works very hard for the students.
