Dislikes

The thing i disliked here isits hot weather
mostly tech companies only come for placements
Faculty are annoying and very strict they dont give good marks

Course Curriculum Overview

I was very passionate and interested in machines and engines so I choose mechanically. There are enough good faculties that will give you good guidance. All faculty are selected after a teaching review and Ph.D. is compulsory. There are 3 internal exams and 1-semester exam in every six months.

Internships Opportunities

Many good companies like L&T, Mahindra, etc. come for placement and internship opportunities with good stipends if you are eligible you can get good placement and internship opportunities. You have to do projects on your core subject for eg if you are mechanical you need to do a project on metal and if the project is good you will get a stipend.

Placement Experience

From the 4th sem placement will start coming to college you should have an 8 CGPA minimum to stay in placement. The highest package is 1.5 crore rupees. Placement is 100%. Planning to take placements after the college

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee is the same for 4 years they will not increase the fee you will get a scholarship if you got 10 CGPA or if you topped your department. Many good companies will come they will offer a good placement with a good stipend.

Campus Life

Aarush and Milan are the two annual cultural and technical fest Milan is conducted around February and Milan around November. There is a central library and each department has its library. It has good exposure to sports and extra curriculum activities and there are many techs and other social groups run by students like DSA roboco, 4ZE racing, Rudra, etc.

Hostel Facilities

You will get attached bathroom double sharing rooms with AC if you want charges may differ according to the hostel meal is very good. You need to book a hostel at the beginning of the academic year or you can stay in an abode and extension which are nearby college.

Hostel Fee: INR 275000 per year

Admission

For Mechanical Engineering you need to have more than 7.5 CGPA or more than 75% in your 12th. You can apply online through SRM University's official website and you will get all the details on that website. Yes if you do a reservation there is a high chance of getting admission. No improvement is required.

Placement Experience:

In our University from the starting of Seventh semester we are eligible for campus placements. Campanies like Jubilant food works, Zifo Technologies, Amura Heath Pvt.Ltd, Biocon etc. were some of the companies that visited our campus. Around fifty students got offers from these companies. About 70 percentage of the students got placements successfully. I am planning to pursue a master degree abroad

Many clubs available from Toastmasters to Campus Life, Our club Toastmasters is one of the peak highlights of our college. We regularly go to corporates to attend meetings of their clubs and network a lot.
Love the Research setup of our college. Has more than 15 COEs present. ABB research centre is the best among them
The bring in a lot of industry professionals every.One or the other event always keeps happening.

Dislikes

Campus is not very huge since it's in the centre of the city but the outside shops make up for this

The library is really Awesome in every aspect.
The facilities and labs and everything needed for studies is way above the bar. Great university to actually study and research.

Dislikes

No culturals, and if there is some only secular songs
Strict rules (needed, but some are too strict)

Placement Experience:

From the sixth semester the student are eligible for placements and prominent companies such as bicon, lifecell, zoho, Thermofisher, lmt mindtree, jubilant food works, siemens, bioartha and around 2030 offers has been made os of april 2026 for my batch. the percentage of students getting placed is over 95 percent as the rest of the students have opted for higher studies like me. i plan on doing my masters abroad.
