What Students Say

Likes

College name is valuable in the city for jobs. Then internship and part time job offers were there. Students with great mind sets.
Faculty was good but not as expected. Mostly all courses are offered here .
Infrastructure for degree students is very good. Basic amenities are there which are required.

Dislikes

Overall infrastructure is not good . Diploma classroom are like caves.
Time management was not at all present. Literally they don't even think of students.
Speaking in diploma, students from 60% are there which are like there for only creating bad environment.

Course Curriculum Overview

I decided to take this course as I was interested in electronics components. In class, there were 75 students in total. There were 5 subjects in every sem. For each subject, there were different faculty. Their teaching method was simple according to the portion. But in exams, they ask logical questions more. Each faculty were having either a master's degree or a Ph.D. in it. In each sem, there were 2 exams mid-sem exams and end-sem exams. Each sem was of 6 months. The difficulty to pass the exams was not that hard but there were students about 25 students who failed.

Internships Opportunities

As I have not done internships which were offered by the college. I can't rate the experience though. The latest company was Texas Components which was giving internships to students on our campus the package was great as I have read the details about it. There were many more but as I was focused on my studies as well as my other activities in sports, I don't know the company names. But yes frequent offers were coming.

Fees and Financial Aid

As it is a government college the fees were not too high. General category students' fees were on average of 10k per year. And if caste is there the fees go down according to which caste you have. There's a section called TPO on our campus, this section holds the process of internship or job offers for students. I didn't try for the offers as I was not interested. There are scholarships for the ews category and for those whose annual income is less than 8 lacs.

Campus Life

There are so many fests in my college like Pratibimb, Rangwardhan, Technovanza, and Enthusia. All fests are back to back from February to March end. Our Library is well known as Bharat Ratna Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar. Mostly all genres of books are available. For sports, there is a separate fest called Enthusia. As for normal days, there are college teams in carrom, table tennis, chess, basketball, cricket, football, etc. which compete with other college teams according to the sport. There are websites about our fests which are completely run by students and also pages on social media.

Admission

Admission for a diploma was very easy and any student can easily approach it. The first thing after the results was to check the msbte website. As soon as the link comes from the application, just click the link, and verify the documents required, after that just select the colleges that you want according to your preferences. After this wait for the cap round. After the college is allocated to you. The next day you can go to the college for admission. Just submit the documents required and pay the fees for the course. I guess as the world is growing modern admission can be done online also.

Excellent college for diplomawith supportive faculty

teachers are helpful and you can ask them your doubts without any problem. most of them are quite supportive
there are technical events, sports and cultural programs during the year, so college is not only about studies
i liked the practical sessions and labs because we actually got to work on things instead of only learning the thoery

Dislikes

Placements opportunities could be better and i feel the college can bring more companies for students
Sometimes the academics workload can fell a bit much, espically when assignments, practicals and exams come around together
Using mobile in the collge is strictly not allowed and if used our mobile is taken and given after 6 to 7 days .

Placement Experience:

Placements at VES Polyetchnic are decent for a diploma college. students generally become eligible for placements in the final year.Pacages depend on the company and branch, with some offer going above 4 LPA. the placement cell also helps with interviews and internships. after diploma, many students also choose to continue with higher studies

I liked the college campus, infrastructure and the helpful nature of the faculty. Teachers explain concepts well and are supportive when students need guidance.

Why I chose the course: The course has a good mix of theory, practical subjects, labs and technical skills, which influenced my decision. Real-world preparation: The curriculum gives basic industry knowledge and practical experience. It is also useful for higher studies. Improvements: More practical projects, industry visits, updated technology and hands-on training would make the course better. Teaching could be more practical and interactive. Exams: Internal exams are conducted during the semester and university exams at the end. The difficulty is moderate and manageable with regular study.

"A Practical insight on my college life and diploma studies"

Faculty were extremely friendly and open to reach, It was worth studying under their guidance. Faculty used to teach every topic with clarity and were open to suggestions
Unit exams were taken after every unit was complete of a particular subject, clearly it was really good for our practice for upcoming main exams
Maintainence staff was really good and honest to their work, They used to provide good and honest services from examination hall prepration to many things, They knew what they were doing and where were they working

Dislikes

Sanitation can be improved which will attract even more new student as reputation of college will be maintained

You can apply for on campus placement in 6th sem of course as per the rule and then you can get the placement. The training cell will help you for interview process and can guide even after the placement. Multiple students have been placed till date in multiple companies through college placement. Multiple companies have signed MOUs with college which benefits college for placements and internships. These companies recognise the potential of college and are ready to assist

Likes

The college is very beautiful and clean and also Eco friendly. It gives professional feeling around here. But some common things are missing like here is no that value for sports activities. Many clubs are available here instead of Sports club.
This college is socially very active and Good environment for that.
Facility is very good in there work. Not just good we can say best but for some subjects. There is not teachers for all sunjects they have to increase staff.

Dislikes

Staff judges students by there friends and marks.
Not much active for extra activities like sports.

Placement Experience:

Placement strategies is different for every department. Like most computer engineering students wants higher education. Mechanical, civil and automobile students not that much interested in higher education. Teachers of placement department are very active in there work they gave us more information and counseling like who have to get higher education and who gave to be placed. Students fills a google form which os about students placements, according to that they know how many students are interested in placement and higher education. Companies like TATA, VPRO and other are came for campus in our college various tests and interviews are taken then salary and other things are discussed. Many students get pass in interview. The ratio is about to 30% students get placed every years from campus.

I liked how they support any type of sports or passion that the student likes.
All the laboratories have the required equipment ready for the practicals to be performed.
The canteen of the college has varities of food and snacks for students or staff members.

Dislikes

Sometimes Lectures are not being conducted properly in the classroom.
The classroom and labs are dirty. The walls have smudges and footprints from shoes.
Most of the computers in the laboratory do not function and are very poor in terms of specs.

Placement Experience:

As I have heard people mostly get placements from this college itself. If not they go for their degrees and take placement there. The salary is mostly around 5 lakhs per annum which is decent enough for most students. According to the principal from the college if a student studies afterwards for degrees this number racks up to 18 lakhs.

Talking about other colleges I applied for, I registered for JOSAA and CSAB both. Through JOSAA I got the IIT Dharwad, since I got the BS plus MS programm there I regestered for CSAB, through CSAB I secured seat into iiit Bhopal cse. Because it is a newly established iiit, it does have poor facilities. Then through CAP counselling I got seat at VJTI. Then Ieft iiit Bhopal and joined VJTI.
