Student of SRM

I have chosen BTECH CSE because I have an interest in coding and I want to work in the IT field as a developer. The faculty-student ratio is around 8:1. Most of the faculties are with a qualification of PHD. Semester exams are conducted in the month of December and May. And monthly cycle test will be conducted for the internals. If we study for cycle tests and score a good marks semester exams are easy

There are many internships available at SRM. Many companies provide paid internships. Or the students can do their internships outside on their own with a NOC from college. 4th year is full of internships and projects.

From 6th sem students are eligible of placements. According to the information from the college for the year 2022-2023, 700+ companies have visited for placements. 7000+ offers have been given with a average salary of 7LPA and the highest package is 44.14LPA.

The fees for BTECH Computer Science and Engineering for me are around 400000 excluding hostel fees, exam fees, etc. This year they had hiked the fees to 450000. There are many scholarships that you can see on the official websites like 100%,50%, and 25%.

The campus life is amazing. I see a campus life which some movies will showcase as a college. There are more cultural events and tech events. The main annual fest is MILAN which takes place in the even semester and the tech fest is AARUUSH which takes place every odd semester.

Hostels are soo good. 1st and 2nd year have seperate hostels. 3rd and 4th year has combined hostels. They have many varieties of the room like 2 sharing attached AC and Non AC, 3 sharing attached AC and Non AC, 3 sharing non-attached AC and Non AC etc. Hostel food is good sometimes and sometimes bad. You can book a hostel after your confirmation of your seat. There are many PGs and homes near the hostel for monthly rent of 7k-15k.

The eligibility of the course is a minimum of 60% in the 10th and 12th boards. You can find the application on the official SRM website. The application fee was around 1200 according to how many phases of the exam you opt to write. The entrance exam is called SRMJEEE. It would be a Remote Protected Online mode exam. The applications for 2023 have been ended by June 26th.
