Course Curriculum Overview

Computer science and engineering is the best branch and Kattankulatur is the best campus to join in. SRM University is well known for its main campus Kattankulatur and placements, especially from CSE. Teachers are not cooperative and they are very strict. You will never feel like it’s a college you will feel like school.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 350000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee is too high but placement assurance is therein you score above 9 cgpa and if you are from a Defence background there are chances that you get a scholarship. For programmes with an annual fee of Rs 1,00,000 and above, the one-time non-refundable and non-transferable registration fee for the first year is 10,000. For programmes with an annual fee of less than Rs 1,00,000, the one-time non-refundable and non-transferable registration fee for the first year is 5,000.

Campus Life

There’s never a dull moment on campus, as the activities on offer are as diverse and varied too – from entertainment to extra-curricular or even religious pursuits. There are several activities to keep students busy, in their various areas of interest. It’s a stimulating environment for living and learning, with cultural activities, sports, fine arts, and entrepreneurship, encouraging students to venture beyond the realms of academics.

Admission

You have to apply on SRM official site for the SRMJEE exam. If you qualify for the exam you will get mail regarding orientation. With 159 marks in SRMJEEE, you have a good chance of securing admission to SRM University for various B. Tech programs, including Computer Science Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical, and Electronics Engineering, and others.

Placement Experience:

In our University from the starting of Seventh semester we are eligible for campus placements. Campanies like Jubilant food works, Zifo Technologies, Amura Heath Pvt.Ltd, Biocon etc. were some of the companies that visited our campus. Around fifty students got offers from these companies. About 70 percentage of the students got placements successfully. I am planning to pursue a master degree abroad

Many clubs available from Toastmasters to Campus Life, Our club Toastmasters is one of the peak highlights of our college. We regularly go to corporates to attend meetings of their clubs and network a lot.
Love the Research setup of our college. Has more than 15 COEs present. ABB research centre is the best among them
The bring in a lot of industry professionals every.One or the other event always keeps happening.

Dislikes

Campus is not very huge since it's in the centre of the city but the outside shops make up for this

Placement Experience:

From the very entry into your third year, you will be eligible to most of the placements. The training provided is very exquisite and some of the trainings start as early as 1st year. 2026 highest package was 55LPA. Many companies like from product companies like Microsoft, Capgemini to service based companies like TCS, INFOSYS etc.. visit our campus for regular placements. About 98% of people placed as far as I have heard.

The library is really Awesome in every aspect.
The facilities and labs and everything needed for studies is way above the bar. Great university to actually study and research.

No culturals, and if there is some only secular songs
Strict rules (needed, but some are too strict)

Placement Experience:

From the sixth semester the student are eligible for placements and prominent companies such as bicon, lifecell, zoho, Thermofisher, lmt mindtree, jubilant food works, siemens, bioartha and around 2030 offers has been made os of april 2026 for my batch. the percentage of students getting placed is over 95 percent as the rest of the students have opted for higher studies like me. i plan on doing my masters abroad.

Paramedicals pros and cons

Colleges which I have applied for was Sree Ramachandra institute in tamil nadu, MGR University IISER But I only got confirmed admission from SRM by writing a medical entrance exam. The reason why I chose this course was because my family friend also joined here for architecture and she said the placements are top notch and it provides multiple opportunities abroad I got rejection from IISER because I failed in entrance exam.
