My college experience

Located in outskirts of Chennai, university provides good facilities for the students, faculties are really co-operative, hospitality and atmosphere is inspiring, good place to spend your college days.

Landed directly, no entrance just interview. Process was quick and simple, annual fees to be submitted by demand draft in favor of the institution, and then documents has to be submitted, registration process is secured by bio metrics, separate e-registration is required for getting identity card, after that you are a student of the university.

I did civil engineering and did lots of practical works, has wide range of facilities. There too are research facilities.

Internship is provided and average stipend on average is half of the salary of the regular post. Internship period is about six months and has to be done in the final semester. It provides the students good exposure to the working environment and also a good medium for gaining experience.

Placement is good and IT sector is dominating wit companies like TCS, Wipro, HCL, Zoho and so on core companies like L&T, ITD cementation, Ford etc also recruit handful. Package ranges from low to high with average around 4lacs per annum.

Aarush and Milan are two major fests of the whole university lasting about a week long each, is organized by college authorities and students cooperatively, other specific fests are conducted by respective departments or college, as a whole there are usually lots of fests happening around.

It's ₹300000/- per annum Fee structure is quite more than other universities around Chennai but value for money is justifiable, fees are always expected to be deposited in time and any delay needs written approval from the Managing Director of the University, the same process that most of the institutes follow.

College provides scholarship for students with good academic results, even waiver in fees is done in some cases, half waiver in some. There are provisions for students loan via banks that have links with the university.

Music clubs, dance clubs, ample of free outdoor space, parks. Good sports facilities, basketball courts, volleyball courts, tennis courts etc are all available and accessible. Multi purpose ground is also available for cricket, football, field hockey and other things.

Options are available for both single and sharing, ac or non/ac too are an option, foods meet the standards but don't expect a lot from hostel food.

Cycle tests were frequent and model exam before semester exam and chill culture too.

As already mentioned, faculties are up to the mark, helpful and involved. Demands for the best in you, strict at times though they are very interactive and questioning. They are supporting as they are supposed to be and are very capable to do the job.
