I liked the environment overall it's good and fun loving.
I liked how our faculties are highly qualified and they are cooperative too ..
I love the events that are organised throughout the year.

Dislikes

I think the comparatively we should get more classes from our professors.

Course Curriculum Overview

I choose this course because from beginning of my 11th standard I had an interest over this subject so I want to explore more on that discipline. The faculties are really good and well qualified but I think the professors should take more classes and held some projects or fieldwork , so that we the students get interest and know more accurately the subject it's intricacy and unknown facts so that we can grew to be a researcher minded, for postgraduation courses. Term exams are held on a gap of 6months, the papers are tough and a bit tricky .

Internships Opportunities

There are lot of departments who gets intership. Recently we had a workshop over that but our department doesn't get much intership from the college just after undergraduate. And very frankly I don't have much knowledge about the internships of our department.

Fees and Financial Aid

This is a government college so the fees structure is very minimum. The admission fees was approximately 6000 and the semester cost approximately 3000 with the examination fees . I'm a general student so I don't avail any reservation or I don't have any financial support other my parents.

Campus Life

Life in campus is enjoyable and comfortable. There are lots of books in the library and a huge collection of books with different authors . We have freshers for the new commers mostly it is organised after our exams during March n also we have different cultural program all over the college. Besides culture our college is also active at its sports things so we celebrate that too with lots of outdoor games . We gave departmental groups with our seniors for the daily updates n news.

Admission

The admission process was through online mode. I haven't took any admission test for the Asutosh College admission. I found all the details and form of the college from the college's own website. I belong to a general category student so I was not benefitted with any of reservations. Eligibility for this admission was 12th pass with average marking 90% above in that particular subject and also best of 5 was also a noticeable factor in the cutoffs of the college. I think admission test is required to check eligibility of the candidate for that department, a mere knowledge the should hold before applying the subject.

My Experience at Jaipuria to summed it up.

Likes

Quality education and an academically enriching environment. Most importantly, well- versed professors.
Extra- curriculum activities, along with an active sports cell and NCC, and usually various opportunities to participate in Inter-College Competitions.
Well maintained gym with separate timings for girls and boys. The canteen offers a wide variety of foods at an affordable price.

Dislikes

For my department, there was no educational excursion.
Negligence internship opportunities are available for my course.
Only some placement opportunities are available, and companies like TCS and Wipro came up for campus placement.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My passion and a bit of curiosity in International Relations led me to choose this course. The curriculum, in fact, prepared me well for further academic pursuits. For improvement, educational excursions and internship opportunities should be made available. The exam is held twice a year on semester basis, with papers set at a moderate to difficult level.

A balanced view of campus life and learning

Likes

The English department has experienced and supportive teachers. Most professors explain concepts clearly and encourage discussions, close reading and critical thinking.
The course is very affordable, especially compared to private colleges. With scholarships, it becomes accessible for students from middle and lower income backgrounds.
The college has a friendly and diverse student crowd. The girls to boys ratio is balanced with slightly more female students, which creates a comfortable learning atmosphere.

Dislikes

The infrastructure needs improvement. Classrooms and common areas could be better maintained and modern facilities are limited.
There are very few placement opportunities for arts students.
Although some academic events take place, extracurricular activities and active student societies could be improved for better campus life.

Placement Experience:

There are limited on campus placement opportunities here, especially for Arts and Eng Hons students. Most students focus on higher studies, competitive exams or off campus opportunities after graduation. The college provides basic guidance through teachers but formal placement drives are rare.

Ramakrishna Mission Vidyamandira: A Life Changing Experience

Likes

The college has an ideal atmosphere for studying and the hostel accommodation allowed for close bonding with seniors who helped us out in studies as well as personal matters. The teachers are extremely talented and treated us with care and respect.
It is an all boys college and it is without any doubt a ragging-free campus. There is anti-ragging cell as well as student councelling cell available on the campus to help out with these issues.
The experience of hostel life and the close sense of community that is formed during my stay has been instrumental in my growth and the strict implementation of discipline in our daily lives enriched me and changed my life for the better.

Dislikes

The administration is not always the best. Applications, forms, seminars and event permits all required a long time to get approved by the authorities as most of the time it meant compromising our strict schedule as it is a residential college.
The average food quality in the mess could be better. Again it is not always the best but for the most part it is decent.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum provides a comprehensive retrospective of literature from the Old English period to Modern period, while also including English works by Indian authors to demonstrate the diversity and evolution of English literature over the years. The current curriculum I believe requires more seminars and lectures from guest faculties on contemporary research and topics.

I really like the environment of our college .
And the brilliant and talented professors with phed
And the friendly nature of the people in the college

Dislikes

The unavailability of the boys hostel in our college .
No bigger playground to play ...as there is only volleyball court to play .
The toilet facilities are not poorly managed .

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really liked geography as a subject for learning and exploring as it includes fieldwork , surveys and excursion which enhances our mind and experience in our life and this way we have many opportunities to learn new things in our life which is helpful for our future purposes. The only improvements I would like to note that to improve the toilet facilities and placement opportunities.

A brief description about salesian

Likes

Our college has one of the most beautiful infrastructure. I have never seen such infrastructure in any other colleges in our town. Our clg has the best infrastructure with all the facilities required for the students.
Second thing which I like the most about our college is the rules and regulations which helps each and everyone alot. Propers rules and regulations for everything academic co curricular activities
Third thing is the faculty our college got the best faculty ever each one of them are really very helpful and kind. If any problem face the faculty will obviously help you to get a prophet solution to your problem.

Dislikes

Just one thing which the the timing as many students faces problem regarding the timing as sometimes it's too early like 7 am in the morning

If I had to rate the course curriculum then it would be 9 as this course is really good one. The college provides proper teaching facilities with the best teachers and with the help of them it feels so easy and fun to learn. There are no improvement required for this field if they will keep on doing the same thing it will really be good

My overall experience is too good with good environment
I get proper theoretical knowledge from experienced faculties.
We get hands on experience from different star categories of hotels during the course in every weekend.

I wanted to take journalism and Mass Communication, and that too in Kolkata. I came to know that by word of mouth, this is one of the best colleges in Kolkata for Mass Communication, with around six professors for a single course. I got rejected from Jadavpur College as I received around 92.25 percent which did not meet the merit cut-off level of the college. The admission process relies on the application via the official online website, and it can be based on the last percentage gathered by the candidate. A memorable time to remember

I have applied for Dinabandhu Andrews College and also New Alipore College for mathematics hons and I got selected for both the colleges and I started class in Dinabandhu Andrews College for few days but there the faculty used to talk in Bengali and the faculty members are not really good also the ambience so I applied in Asutosh College and I got selected too over there....so I shifted to Asutosh College, as I always wanted to persue this course from Asutosh College due to there faculty in this subject is really very good. Life at Asutosh Mookherjee college as a freshman

Besides getting selection in St Xavier's college and MUC college in Burdwan. I also got selected for Lady Braboune, South Calcutta girls college and many other. I didn't opt for any of there because maximum of my criteria were fulfilled in Asutosh Mookherjee college. I didn't make it to Xavier's College Kolkata due to some financial problem and in Jadavpur University, I couldn't clear the admission test. This is the best college under University of Calcutta from very old times, Specially the science department of asutosh college really excellent, The college came under TOP BEST 4 colleges of west Bengal.
