Likes

The opportunities offered are plenty, you got a wide array of companies coming to recruit
There are a large number of student run clubs for various activities, ranging from technical to cultural
The college offers a wide array of electives in the last 2 years, which can help the student with their growth

Dislikes

Most of the faculty only wishes to finish the curriculum, and hence only read out from the ppt without much explaination
There is always a rush to finish the course, projects, assignments due to a rushed timeline
There is a large number of people in the campus, making all the places extremely crowded

Course Curriculum Overview

The faculty varies a lot, some are good and dedicated to learning and teaching, while others just want to finish the curriculum, which results in students having to study the majority of the subject by themselves. There are about 64 students in a class. For practical labs, the class is split into two

Class Size: 64Course Fees: INR 350000 per year

Internships Opportunities

A lot of companies visit SRM for internship opportunities, companies such as DE Shaw, Barclays, Wells Fargo, JPMC, Fidelity, Schneider, Squadcast, Scaler. Most of these companies offer stipend internship and not unpaid internship. They come for Software Developer and Software Tester roles

Placement Experience

Placements are offered to almost all eligible students. However, the packages being offered have a high disparity, most of the companies coming are offering an average of 6-8LPA, with very select companies offering 20LPA+. Students are eligible for internship from 5th semester and placements from 7th semester. The highest package offered was 52LPA by DE Shaw.

Fees and Financial Aid

For computer science engineering, the fees for the course was 350000/year. Two years after my admission, the fee was increased to 450000. There are some scholarship opportunities, mainly for students who either scored a rank in SRMJEE or IITJEE, or come under a reserved sect

Campus Life

Campus life is okay, there are plenty of places to eat, but most of them serve the same food, ie, biryani and shawarma. The library is pretty vast, it has books on almost all topics, be it study or non study related, and has 4 floors. There are 1 fest conducted in each sem. One is Aarush, which is a tech fest, and the other is Milan, which is a cultural fest.

Admission

The admission process was pretty easy. One needs to apply from the SRM website via the form released and pay the application fees, by the application submission date. After that they have an entrance exam by the name of SRMJEE, upon clearing it, depending on your rank, you get your course

Placement Experience:

In our University from the starting of Seventh semester we are eligible for campus placements. Campanies like Jubilant food works, Zifo Technologies, Amura Heath Pvt.Ltd, Biocon etc. were some of the companies that visited our campus. Around fifty students got offers from these companies. About 70 percentage of the students got placements successfully. I am planning to pursue a master degree abroad

Likes

Many clubs available from Toastmasters to Campus Life, Our club Toastmasters is one of the peak highlights of our college. We regularly go to corporates to attend meetings of their clubs and network a lot.
Love the Research setup of our college. Has more than 15 COEs present. ABB research centre is the best among them
The bring in a lot of industry professionals every.One or the other event always keeps happening.

Dislikes

Campus is not very huge since it's in the centre of the city but the outside shops make up for this

Placement Experience:

From the very entry into your third year, you will be eligible to most of the placements. The training provided is very exquisite and some of the trainings start as early as 1st year. 2026 highest package was 55LPA. Many companies like from product companies like Microsoft, Capgemini to service based companies like TCS, INFOSYS etc.. visit our campus for regular placements. About 98% of people placed as far as I have heard.

The library is really Awesome in every aspect.
The facilities and labs and everything needed for studies is way above the bar. Great university to actually study and research.

Dislikes

No culturals, and if there is some only secular songs
Strict rules (needed, but some are too strict)

Placement Experience:

From the sixth semester the student are eligible for placements and prominent companies such as bicon, lifecell, zoho, Thermofisher, lmt mindtree, jubilant food works, siemens, bioartha and around 2030 offers has been made os of april 2026 for my batch. the percentage of students getting placed is over 95 percent as the rest of the students have opted for higher studies like me. i plan on doing my masters abroad.

Paramedicals pros and cons

Colleges which I have applied for was Sree Ramachandra institute in tamil nadu, MGR University IISER But I only got confirmed admission from SRM by writing a medical entrance exam.
