True picture of IIM Sirmaur

Here the course is of 2 years and three semesters each year and IIM Sirmaur provide two courses first is MBA core and second is MBA in tourism management. I choose this course because I have sone months of experience in marketing and sales field and also I am from business family so I have an inclination towards business. Here at this Institute the faculty student ratio is 1:10 and all the faculties are well qualified they all are P.hd holders from well prestigious college. All the mid term and end term exams here happen on time every month.

Companies such as EY, HDFC, ICICI, Tech Mahindra came here offering different roles in different domains giving stipends ranging from 50000-90000. Also here companies from tourism industry also came such as Indigo, Cordelia cruises, Travelbullz, Thomas Cook and also startups came here providing different roles in different domains.

Students from 1st semester get eligible for summer internship and from 4th semesters get eligible for final placements. Companies such as EY, Accenture, ICICI, HDFC ,Tech Mahindra, etc came here with very good offers in finance, marketing , HR, operations giving average package 1300000 and highest package of 3300000. 100% students got placements every year.

Fees structure for both the core and tourism management courses are the same i.e. 1600000 for the entire course and this includes hostel fees, library fees, security deposit, etc. Our Institute is government Institute and they provide scholarship to reserved category students who had scored very good marks and belong from a family whose annual income is less than 2 lakhs. Placement campus is being provided to our students with an average package of 13 lakhs per annum.

Our college used to organize annual fest every year named Sierra in the month of February or March and this happen on a very large scale last year singer Ashtha Gill came here for performance. Our college has a one very big library which contains books and business magazines which help us in gaining business news. Our college's sports committee also organize different sports tournaments regularly.

Hostel room were alloted at the time registration on a random basis and each room comes with double or triple occupancy depending upon the size of the room each room include beds study table and chair, fans, tubelights, almorahs and shelfs and one big window. Coming to the mess food the food here is of very good quality and also of different variety.

The admission process was very hectic and stressful as well for the admission I gave CAT examination which is an attitude based exam to get admission in prestigious Institute. Eligibility for the admission in the course is 50% marks in graduation for general and OBC students and for SC ST students they must secure 45% marks in examination. Form for the CAT examination is available on catiim.com site and the form got released in the month of August.

To get admission over here I gave CAT examination and after that based on my scores I got shortlisted for CAP colleges after getting shortlisted I started preparing for interviews with the help of my mentor and the interview lasted for around 15-20 minutes and it covers all the graduation syllabus and also it tested the aptitude. After interview within 1-2 months I got my application letter from IIM Sirmaur.
