Likes

The clubs are great and i liked those as they provide exposure in respective fields
There are cycle tests and an endsem instead of midsem and endsem
Cycle tests can be prepared easily as they have very little syllabus

Dislikes

But the cycle tests are conducted every other week so you wont be so free
Infrastructure is not what is expected it is just ok
Bad thing is 75% attendence as you barely study from classes at the end you have to study from yt only

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose mechatronics as it consists of electrical mechanical and computer science, so it a multidisciplinary course which opens gate to more opportunities. All faculties are phd but some teacher's teaching method mid as they are not good communicators In srm exams are occured very frequently like every nect week and it is easy to pass in the exams but sometimes hard to score good grades

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees structure is pretty straightforward and is on the website for some courses it is expensive for some courses it is cheap like 2.5lakhs and opportunity of scholarship is very little and the scholarship you get in admission test will be for 1year unless you pass the criteria for continuation of scholorshio

Campus Life

The life in campus can be really good there are interesting fests several celebrities are also brought up recently one good celeb was samay raina. The library has all categories of books and journals. There are all sorts of sports facilities and other extra curricular act. In srm there are great technical clubs like 4ze racing or robocon

Hostel Facilities

Meal in the mess are very mid the plates are sometimes not cleaned and in 2st year's mess has a lot of crowd registering for hostels should not be an issue it is easy and mails will be sent and there are a variety of hostels some cheap some expensive also there are pg and flats nearby so that is also an option

Admission

Eligibility of course is 65% marks in 12th in main subjects pcm and english You can find application form in its website once the forms are out which are before boards and fees of application form is 1500.

Interview Experience

There are group discussions we have some p credit courses in which these gd or interviews are held and topics may be sometimes sensitive but generally it will be normal for example whether bluetooth earphones are better or aux ones but some sensitive topics for gd may be given like on homosexuality etc

Placement Experience:

In our University from the starting of Seventh semester we are eligible for campus placements. Campanies like Jubilant food works, Zifo Technologies, Amura Heath Pvt.Ltd, Biocon etc. were some of the companies that visited our campus. Around fifty students got offers from these companies. About 70 percentage of the students got placements successfully. I am planning to pursue a master degree abroad

Likes

Many clubs available from Toastmasters to Campus Life, Our club Toastmasters is one of the peak highlights of our college. We regularly go to corporates to attend meetings of their clubs and network a lot.
Love the Research setup of our college. Has more than 15 COEs present. ABB research centre is the best among them
The bring in a lot of industry professionals every.One or the other event always keeps happening.

Dislikes

Campus is not very huge since it's in the centre of the city but the outside shops make up for this

Likes

The library is really Awesome in every aspect.
The facilities and labs and everything needed for studies is way above the bar. Great university to actually study and research.

Dislikes

No culturals, and if there is some only secular songs
Strict rules (needed, but some are too strict)

Placement Experience:

From the sixth semester the student are eligible for placements and prominent companies such as bicon, lifecell, zoho, Thermofisher, lmt mindtree, jubilant food works, siemens, bioartha and around 2030 offers has been made os of april 2026 for my batch. the percentage of students getting placed is over 95 percent as the rest of the students have opted for higher studies like me. i plan on doing my masters abroad.

In my college the placement training was going for seperate student
They have a lot of celebrations for the student instead of the college days

They have worst infrastructure of college

The transportation to the college is slightly hard

Paramedicals pros and cons

Colleges which I have applied for was Sree Ramachandra institute in tamil nadu, MGR University IISER But I only got confirmed admission from SRM by writing a medical entrance exam.
