I honestly did not like much at SRM Ramapuram
The library was small but it was filled with books
The canteen was good, (not the mess food, that was terrible)

Dislikes

The studies, not much computer use was involved
The curriculam was absolete and practically useless
Placement opportunities were extremely random

Course Curriculum Overview

Chose this course because i was interested in tech since i was in class 9 when i learnt c and c++, faculty is not that great and most are tamil speaking , you'll have a lot of problem to adjust with the accent but can be done.

Class Size: 65Course Fees: INR 800000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The tuition fee per semester was 1.85 lakhs and there were total 8 semesters and hostel fee was 91000 per year and along with it 15000 for career guidance, 15000 was for library and misc. also every semester for universiity exam fee we had to pay 5000 extra

Campus Life

SRM Ramapuram had no campus life, no serious tech fests and even for the events hosted at SRM KTR you dont get attendance if you want to attend them, you'd lose out on attendance, no amenities in classrooms, limited to no access to lift and classes at even 4, 5 floors

Admission

We had a seperate exam for SRM, i ranked 28000 and got admission, its on the SRM website along with the process that explains what all fields are required and what iis the eligibility for different courses for which students can apply

Placement Experience:

In our University from the starting of Seventh semester we are eligible for campus placements. Campanies like Jubilant food works, Zifo Technologies, Amura Heath Pvt.Ltd, Biocon etc. were some of the companies that visited our campus. Around fifty students got offers from these companies. About 70 percentage of the students got placements successfully. I am planning to pursue a master degree abroad

Likes

Many clubs available from Toastmasters to Campus Life, Our club Toastmasters is one of the peak highlights of our college. We regularly go to corporates to attend meetings of their clubs and network a lot.
Love the Research setup of our college. Has more than 15 COEs present. ABB research centre is the best among them
The bring in a lot of industry professionals every.One or the other event always keeps happening.

Dislikes

Campus is not very huge since it's in the centre of the city but the outside shops make up for this

Placement Experience:

From the very entry into your third year, you will be eligible to most of the placements. The training provided is very exquisite and some of the trainings start as early as 1st year. 2026 highest package was 55LPA. Many companies like from product companies like Microsoft, Capgemini to service based companies like TCS, INFOSYS etc.. visit our campus for regular placements. About 98% of people placed as far as I have heard.

The library is really Awesome in every aspect.
The facilities and labs and everything needed for studies is way above the bar. Great university to actually study and research.

No culturals, and if there is some only secular songs

Placement Experience:

From the sixth semester the student are eligible for placements and prominent companies such as bicon, lifecell, zoho, Thermofisher, lmt mindtree, jubilant food works, siemens, bioartha and around 2030 offers has been made os of april 2026 for my batch. the percentage of students getting placed is over 95 percent as the rest of the students have opted for higher studies like me. i plan on doing my masters abroad.

Colleges which I have applied for was Sree Ramachandra institute in tamil nadu, MGR University IISER But I only got confirmed admission from SRM by writing a medical entrance exam.
