Remarks

The only thing i don't like about rajdhani college is that around fifty percent of the crowd comes from haryana And they are really short tempered which makes it difficult to get along with them.

Entrance Preview

There was no entrance exam for the course I pursued, you just have to score enough percentage in 12th standard to clear the cutoff. I had always been intrigued and fascinated by electronics that is why I opted for this course and Rajdhani College was the best college that I could get at 90%.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course structure is quite good you would be studying maths and physics in addition to electronics. There would be a 4th subject that would keep on changing every semester. This course really widens opportunity because one can pursue MSc and then PHD in the same course to become a full time professor.

Internships Opportunities

No there is nothing like internship in Rajdhani College and I doubt if internship exists in any of the college belonging to Delhi University.

Placement Experience

2

There is not much scope for placement and job opportunities in Rajdhani College. Yet you can bag an offer or two if you are really interested and really capable of impressing the headhunters. During the last year of my college life companies like Oppo, Vivo and L and T came to our college to hunt young talents. And a friend of mine named Jatin was offered a package of 25000 from Vivo.

College Events

4

There are many events that are celebrated in the college. Departmental fests , where every department gets a chance to entertain its students and faculty. College Fest which consists of a lot of performances from students hailing from renowned universities and colleges like IIT Delhi ,Miranda House and many private colleges And then there comes the main festival in which a well known celebrity is invited to the college. In the meantime a number of plays, competitions and games are hosted within the college every other day.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is feasible and very much affordable. The first year fees for my course was nearly 11000 in second year it got reduced by thousand bucks more and the fees in 3rd year was nearly 10000 which included the examination fees of both the semesters. There are no hidden charges at all the fees comprises all the charges.

Fees and Financial Aid

Delhi University offers a lot of scholarship facilities. There is scholarship for college topper, there is a scholarship for course topper and many more. My classmate Siddhant Tiwari topped in all the three years and he was awarded 15000 rupees every year. Similarly there was a friend of mine named Jeet who was in industrial chemistry course and he also bagged 15k. All the Students belonging to SC ST category can also apply to get their fees refunded.

Campus Life

3.5

Campus life is really cool like any other college. There is a balanced Gender ratio, there were 40 boys and 35 girls in my class . Diversity is confirmed , I used to have friends from Madhya Pradesh ,Kolkata ,Bihar ,Uttarakhand and from Haryana. College ground is really impressive in size. Sports facilities are of average level . Inter College and intra college cricket and football matches are held every year and the winner is awarded with a good sum. The college is 65 years old so labs are not equipped with modern facilities but still they meet required standards. Debates and counsels on various topics ranging from social, economic and contemporary political scenarios , also certain course related quizzes ,used to take place in auditorium every month.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

There was no hostel facility in Rajdhani College because it is an off campus college and off campus colleges have no hostel facilities. Although there were two canteens in the college premises I preferred to eat from outside because the food quality was as bad as if not worse than stale bread. Although the packaged cold drinks and packaged food items were worthwhile.

Alumni/Alumna

Senior students were really very helpful. As I Remember when I was in first year I just asked for assistance from my seniors and they explained me the whole chapter of physics. our whole farewell arrangements were made by our juniors. I can't say much about alumini network because I am not familiar with it.

Exam Structure

Exam structure is really easy , every 6 months there would be a semester exam. You would have to give four papers every semester. There would be a total of 6 semester throughout the period of 3 years. Practical exams will be held one month before the theoretical exam. You will get a healthy time of 3 hours to complete a theoretical exam and 5 to 6 hours for every practical exam.

Admission

The admission procedure is complex and Tedious but you will be helped out by the seniors and the volunteers in the college. All you have to do is to keep an eye on cut off using internet or a newspaper. If you have scored enough to clear the cut off then visit the college the very next day with all the required documents. There you will have to buy a form and fill it then submit it to the respective department there they will arrange your documents in the required order. And you will be forwarded to the main administrator office where they will authenticate your documents after that they will issue you a fee slip which you would have to submit within 2 days. The whole procedure may take a day or two.

Faculty

4.5

Well talking about faculty, the faculty of any college belonging to the University of Delhi is the same. Rajdhani College has many seasoned full time professors who are pandits in their respective field. For example my electronics professor used to teach in an Australian University and has had written 3 books on electronics. The faculty is always eager to resolve the problems encountered by the students.

The students become eligible for campus placements in the 3rd year of their graduation. Various companies offer multiple roles for placements on our campus like Nation With NaMo, Deloitte, KPMG, Accenture etc. and the no. of offers made usually varies between 250-400 depending on the batch. The average package is around 6.5-7 LPA and the highest usually varies from 13-15 LPA L. Usually 50 percent of the students get placed directly from campus and rest usually pursue some other academic programs or even off campus placements.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I think that the course curriculum is good and well managed . The curriculum has all necessary subjects related to our course as well as all other necessary subjects like human values and basic ethics. I find our course curriculum is apt for our course . Thought their is a lag for more practical learning and skills. It will be better if they add more practical learning.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The syllabus of Electronics Hons and Electrical Engineering is same but makes it different is how we perceive it. We study the syllabus with theoretical aspects while the engineers with practical aspects. We have a chance to opt for the 4th year, which only comprises of Research. One of the optionals is Generic Elective and if you take GE from same department for all semesters, you will attain a minor degree. The Faculties and whole curriculum is great but the other optionals require improvement. The other optionals only make the Student Life hectic, that stumbles the Student's focus from Course track.

The highest package as per my knowledge is 13 lakhs and the average here is 6 lakhs. Sorry for the inconvenience but I don't have any knowledge regarding the job profile given. The placement percentage changes every year depending upon the respective batch. My planning after the course is either placement otherwise my prime goal CSE.
