Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is quite rigorous but manageable. During the first year, all students of MBA and MBA TM will have similar core courses, with a few courses differing in the second and third terms. The second year of the program is based on electives.
Internships Opportunities
Generally, internship opportunities are provided by college placements, Recruiters such as ICICI, HDFC, bajaj finserve, Internselite etc visit the campus to provide internships, a huge chunk of people get placed in startups. the averge stippened of this year is near about 15,000/ per month and the highest was 1 lakh hardly 80% batch placed till now.
Placement Experience
Both Summer Placements and Final Placements are provided by the Institute. Being a third-generation IIM, Jobs offered at IIM Sr are as lucrative as other IIMs, but the Institute is progressing fairly well in this area. Prominent recruiters are coming to campus for recruitment. Majority of Batch got placed in BFSI sector. the last year average placement is 15 Lakh and the highest international package is 60 lakh
Fees and Financial Aid
Total fees for academic year 2023-25 was 16 lakhs. You can avail Scholarships through portal such as Buddy4Study, many students from my batch has received scholarships from banks and other institutes. Govt of India and respective state govenrments are also providing scholarships to students of particular categories i.e. SC, ST, OBC, etc.
Campus Life
currently, IIM Sr is functioning through its temporary campus in Paonta sahib, Himachal Pradesh. This campus has limited infrastructural facilities. The permanent campus of IIm Sr, which is in Dhauna Kuwa is expected to be ready by mid-2024, with better infrastructure and facilities. there are total 37 clubs and commities who organized a event in every occasion and college annual fest seirra
Hostel Facilities
The MBA program at IIM Sr is a residential program. All the candidates must reside in a hostel. Hostel facilities are decent, in case of a temporary campus. Transportation is provided by the Institute. Hostel fess is 10,000 rupees per month. and the room is twin share based.
Admission
Similar to any other IIMs, IIM Sirmaur accepts CAT score for admission in various programs such as MBA, MBA - TM, PhD, etc. Personal Interview process takes place along with 9 other IIMs along side CAP process. Institute also follows SAP process for MBA TM course. Reservation is availed.
Interview Experience
IIM Sr admits MBA students through the CAP process. MBA TM students are offered admission through the SAP process. Both of those Processes include Personal Interviews. Generally, Interviews will include questions from your undergraduate, HR questions, Questions related to your work experience, if you have any, and other general knowledge related questions. like 1. tell me something about yourself? 2. why mba?
