Remarks

Being a women college we are denied the right to vote in university election i.e DUSU. It is extremely unfair in a democratic society.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

We follow the university curriculum. I find it extremely competitive exam oriented and practical life-based. Most of the syllabus is similar to that of UPSC pattern. We have field studies and projects which enhance our confidence and ability to work in the ground.

Internships Opportunities

Our placement cell is very active in providing the internship. But in most cases, students have to try their luck from outside sources.

Placement Experience

3

We have placement cell in our college which will help in contacting MNC's for job interviews and internship during course tenure. Even many MNC's like KPMG and Orion used to visit the college for placements. We are eligible for Delhi University placements too.

College Events

5

There are many events. Every department has it own events such as Freshers, Department Fest, Competitions, Seminar and many. College fest is Rapshody which is very much famous. Celebrity singers come down to perform. We hold various seminars where personalities like Shabnam Hashmi, Gargi Chakrobaty also come down.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee- Structure is extremely affordable and inexpensive. As a government college student we survive on the subsides we are provided on everything from canteen food to fees. We get food at 30/- and my semester fees is 5000/-. It is extremely cheap in comparison to other universities in Delhi.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are student loans for economically backward students. It can be discussed in the college office with the administration.

Campus Life

4

Extra Curricular Activities - We are highly encouraged to engage in extra curricular activities such as Debates and rest. Being an Eca aspirant I am more found in competitions than classrooms. It is a women's college. Labs are well equipped for Science department. We have a wonderful photography, debating, NSS, Encatus and Drama society.

Hostel Facilities

0.5

We don't have a hostel. We have a great canteen. Our canteen serves various dishes. Must is Chilly potato and Chowmin. We also have a mother dairy inside the college campus for ice-cream and cold coffees. Our hostel process is going on. It will be completed soonest. There are PGs nearby in Satya Niketan.

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors are very helpful. It is a ragging free campus. My very own department President was a cool lady who was like an elder sister. My Editorial board seniors were also chilled out motivational support.

Admission

I got under ECA Quota. (Extra Curricular Activites). English Debate and Photography. It is a centralised process of DU,where you get 15% addition to your secured percentage in order to touch the cut-off. I got 8% addition to my prevailing percentage.

Faculty

4

Empathetic Professors - Our professors are the coolest people! They are chilled out with our way of living but they are extremely caring during our needs. Being an outstation student, my professor make sure that I eat well and stay healthy. They are understanding and vocal.

Placement Experience:

The placement opportunities are mainly for commerce stream departments but the humanities stream also are offered internship from the government ministries such as ministry of culture and Home ministry. There are many private companies that come to offer placements. The students from 3rd year in particular apply for internships. The highest package iffered is 500000 and the average is 250000. About 45% students get placements. My plan after getting the degree is to go for higher studies.

I wanted to do PhD in Political Science but due to percentage I took up BA program. Teachers used to provide notes but mostly I used to be off. There was nothing wrong with the college. Exam timings were good.
