Course Curriculum Overview
The course at my university is very diverse with hands-on expereince in lab hours and theory learning in theory hours. The facilities provided by the university are very helpful as a student will most definetly not worry about insufficient infrastructure. With additional seminars and webinars organised by the university and various clubs operating make it easier for students to gain more knowledge.
Fees and Financial Aid
The tuition fees for my CSE course is 3,50,000 per year. There are multiple scholarships students can apply for such as academic scholarships, sports scholarships, military scholarships, etc. The university lets students apply for the scholarships by submitting the required documents during a particular time slot each year.
Campus Life
The overall experience of the university is pretty good, there's always something happening on the campus be it cultural events or seminars alumni talks, etc. The club culture in SRM is amazing as there are 100s of clubs operating across various departments in the university, students can explore these clubs and gain experience, and create connections.
Hostel Facilities
The university provides accomodations on yaerly basis. There are multiple mess halls with a wide variety of options including both northa indian and south indian food options durning all three meals. This includes the dietary needs and taste requirements of everyone on campus. The hostels are have various configurations for each year students. The hostel are divided on the basis of year of occupying students, their are different hostels of each year. The universtiy has a hostel booking portal which is used to apply and pay for hostel.
Admission
The admission process was pretty steaight forward, students who applied had to give the university's entrance exam i.e SRMJEE. Based on the scores scored in this exam the students were awarded the choice of their course. The cutoff for CSE durning my exam was rank 10000 meaning anyone above this rank can't apply for cse degree. Students were given time to arrange their desired degrees in the order of preference. The top preference being the priority one. The exm was held twice that year. It's application form can be found on the university page.
