Course Curriculum Overview
Detailed and structured curriculum of every semester. Both theory and practical classes of almost every subject. In every month there is a cycle test held on topics covered which helped in going with the flow. The difficulty level of papers was easy to moderate. The semester question papers were mostly on the previous CT papers.
Internships Opportunities
Internship opportunities were present but it depends on companies whether they want to give internship or not. Computacentre, Fidelity, Finserv, De Shaw were some companies which provided internships and the stipend range would vary from 20000 to as high as 45000. One should have good projects in hand for applying in various companies.
Placement Experience
From the 4th semester, students are eligible for placements without any arrears. Around 800+ companies visit and 4000+ offers are made. Highest package is 52 lacs in the year 2024 and average package is 5 lacs. Around 90% students get placed evey year. Various profiles offered are GET, Analyst, Apprentice, Software Developer, Business associate, etc. Various companies visited is Bank of America, De Shaw, Wells Fargo, Amazon, Siemens, Tata Communications, Accenture, TCS, Infosys, Schneider Electric, JSW, etc. My plan was placements but their are classroom programs offered for higher studies students also.
Fees and Financial Aid
There is a increase in tuition fee by 50,000 and an increase of 7000 in hostel fees every year. One can get scholarship in tuition fees with excellence in academic record and provided only to those coming amongst the top 3. Campus placements are good specially for the CSE-AIML department. The average package for CINTEL department is roughly 6lac CTC.
Campus Life
Aaruush is held every year in the month of October an it's an techno cultural fest. Milan is yet another held in the month of March which is purely a cultural fest of 4 days. Some other fests in Jhalak, etc. The accessibility of books and journals is immense and freely available. There are reference books also for different competitive exams. Extracurricular activities and club works is largely encouraged. Being a part of one is greatly helpful in building up one's personality.
Hostel Facilities
Kopperundevi Hostel is the most costliest but provides immense facilities. The rooms are very neat and you will get everything inside a mere hostel room. It also has a reading hall, sports room and shops inside. Apart from that evey hostel has good light and electricity and water services and they are repaired timely. Mess food is same as one would expect. There are both north and south Indian foods with not so good taste.
Admission
The admission process was through marks in class 10 and 12. There was also weightage on JEE Mains or Advanced. During 2020, as there was Covid-19 so no admission test could take place. Eligibility for course is min 60% in both class 10 and 12. All details regarding application and admission process is well available in the official website. There was reservation among General-EWS section.
