Course Curriculum Overview
The course is revised periodically and for me it was in 2018 ,this the course was very relevant and designed for everyone. It also had extensive exposure to practical applications of each and everything with best instruments provided.
Placement Experience
The college is the best thing about SRM. There's 800+ companies who come for placement. We are also trained for that and the average placement in the year I graduated was 9.5lakhs which is pretty good after BTech.
Fees and Financial Aid
Few Structure is 2.5lakhs a year if your rank is good and the facilities are also according to that so it's worth it. There are also various scholarship facilities if your rank is good or you have good board exams rank. There are banking partners inside the campus itself from whom you can take financial assistance in the form of loans as well.
Campus Life
The campus is very huge and lush with flora and fauna. The auditorium is the largest in Asia with 4500+ capacity. Also the fests are national level and there's lot of clubs we can be part of for social exposure.
Hostel Facilities
Hostels are Good. The girls hostel is like a hotel while for boys its a normal one. So the quality of that can be improved as well. Food in mess is decent , there's a lot of variety and continuous feedback is taken and action is also taken according to that.
Admission
Admission process was very smooth. I gave SRMJEE on 29April 2018 and received the rank after 4 days and subsequently called to the college for stream selection on 13th May. I had the choice of selecting the stream I wanted and did that. After that the classes were to start from July and thus reached the hostel by end of June.
