Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I find the course curriculum to very relevant to the current trends and demands in world. The curriculum also allows you to take minors in different streams, which will provide you exposure in wide variety of fields. The topics covered are applicable to real- world scenarios like chip manufacuring , VLSI, etc. But the lectures are vey bad. The lecturer seem to have no interest to teach expect a few.(like all colleges in India including top 7 IITs)

Internships Opportunities

2.5

Most of the companies that give internship in the college are IT based companies. You should not except core companies to give internship if you are undergrad in the college. You get to do your interships in companies like Mindtree, Cognizant, Publicis Sapient, NCR corporation, Verizon. Phenom People, Telstra, etc. Many product based companies like Amazon, Google, Oracle, Honeywell come but only hand full of people get to do interships there.

Placement Experience

3.5

The college placements in general are pretty decent. But due to recession alot of students are not getting placed . Most of the students get placed in companies like TCS and Infosys. The median package is around 4 lakh per annum. But if you are really skilled then you can get 20 lakh or more package . The product based companies do come for hiring , you have to be skilled enough to get placed.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee of the course is 50000 per year. If your TSEAMCET rank is below 10000, then the Telangana government will provide scholarship upto 1.4 lakh per year. But to be eligible for the scholarship your parents annual income must be less than 2 lakhs . Please check TS Epass schorship eligiblity criteria. In the first year you paid ?5500 for library facilites, ID card and other services.

Campus Life

3.5

The overall campus life experience depends alot on whether you are day scholar or hostler in the college. If you live in college hostels , you get to make many good friends. If you are day scholar , you obivously miss hostel lifestyle, enjoying with friends. The hostler tend to spend most the time with their hostel mates. So sometimes you may feel left out or lonely. The first year students do not get to involve in the club activites . Only after 1st year you get to join clubs. The are'nt very active as tier 1 colleges. The infrastructure of the college is best among all colleges you get to join through TSEAMCET.

Admission

The admission process is quite simple. The admission is done through TSEAPCET (Formally known as TSEAMCET) examination. The students who passed intermediate examination or its 12th equivalent examination are eligible to appear in TSEAMCET. In the entrance exam, the candidate must score atleast 40 marks out of 160 to be eligible to appear in counselling. But reserved category students can qualify the exam with no minimum marks. The students can give their applications in eapcet.tsche.ac.in website . The registration payment should also be done through the same website. The examination consists of 160 questions. The duration of exam is 3 hours. It's almost impossible to solve all the questions in the given time. So the candidate must not look to attempt all questions. Attemping half the questions on your own and just marking the remaing questions does the job. If you get around 100 marks , you can get rank around 2500 or even less.

Placement Experience:

From 4th sem itself students are eligible for placements. Although students get access to paid internships from their 1st year itself, just they need some effort. But as NIAT is yet new and no batch has passed out yet so we still don't have the exact placement percentage rate. But as we are getting paid internships from 1st year itself so it's very evident that placement would also be good

Placement Experience:

No batch has graduated yet so there's no record of placement data yet. But more than 200 students got internships. Also the unique point of NIAT is students gets internships from their 1st year itself. NIAT has connection in the industry also its unique teaching style, this allows 1st year students to get internships. Although there is no pass out batch yet, still many people got placed in good companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My college course curriculum is outdated .As im studying in computer science and engineering,i wpuld love to study about technological aspects and grow as a software engineering but in the course curriculam they teach my about mechanical workshops,There were no practical experience it jsut understanding the concept with theoritical part . i would love lo code but my college wastes entire time by helping with electricals, meachanical basics. i dont think is it really necessary for me understand in all the feilds they think that student should perform in all the fields as im in computer science and engineering student ,They should teach me more about coding and computer ,how it industries works and how these technology enhacning ,the arenot even explore about all these sectos they only teaching me about fundametals of all the subjects which is never useful for my studies . as i am in final year of btech i thought learning and deepdiving into computerscience and engineering subjects is more greater than learning all sector fundamentals,The area they need to improve is removing some of the oudated syllabus from their ciricullum and enhcing with the pratical experience not to teach only theoritical part. they have to teach all the areas with realtime examples. The timings of exams is very good .we do have 2 mid exams and one semester final exams for each sem and the subjects feels meduim level difficulty

Placement cell is least active.. Few good companies like Infosys, amazon, TCS etc visited but the average package is of 1-2 LPA and only 25-30% of students whose all exams are cleared can sit in the placement cell. The highest package is of 8LPA. My plan is to move abroad for higher studies.. The students after completion of 6th sem can sit in placement cell

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements after their 6th semester. The companies start visiting in 7th and 8th semesters. The companies are not much good and are mostly service based. So the placement statistics are also not much good. The highest placement last year was 10 lpa and the median placement was around 4.1 lpa. The placements were starting from 2.5 lpa. The better option for students is to apply for off-campus placements or start preparing for competitive exams
