Course Curriculum Overview
University provides you with an option to choose your preferred subjects and focus on them. it helps students to get a better alignment with their career targets. Students can choose their preferred subject combinations as their major. It allows us to go deeper into our preferred subjects. Even though the curriculum is not always up to date, the faculty ensures that students are staying updated on the real world happenings. An annual revision of course curriculum and addition of relevant subjects are still a necessity to keep students prepared for the industry. Exams are held twice a year. Regular college going students may find exams easier than others as they can assess which areas are given focus by the faculty.
Placement Experience
Placements are normally held in third semester of college. Placement cell works actively to create a pool of applicants and to coordinate placement process. registration in placement cell is mandatory in the first year of college itself to be eligible for campus placement. bigfour consulting firms like Deloitte conducts workshops and placement drives in the college. The top 40% students will make it into the placements as many others choose to opt for non corporate careers and higher studies. I cleared UGC NET and is now a guest lecturer in the university.
Fees and Financial Aid
tution fee in the university varies based on the college/department. While department of commerce offers the lowest fee at 4000 rupees annually, there are colleges with annual fee of 20000 rupees. Exam fees are around 800 per semester. If you are enrolled in Ramjas college, the total cost of education will be around 35,000. Absence of proper hostel facilities is a major drawback of the university. Only a couple of students from each department are alloted hostels. this makes the university unaffordable for economically weaker sections. university offers partial or full fee refund policy for the economically backward sections.
Campus Life
Delhi university is renowned for it college fests. They are the biggest crowd pullers and often causes chaos due to uncontrollable crowd. Each college organises various fests. The Ratan Tata Library in Department of commerce is a well established library that offers you even the rarest publications on commerce and economics. classrooms are decent, well lit and spacious. college offers sports club, gym etc. There are plenty of societies run by students including entrepreneurship, music, photography, dance etc.
Admission
Eligibility of M.com in Delhi university is B.com. application form, fee details and dates are available in university websites. there are reservations for minority classes and differently abled. Entrance exams are held as part of Central University Entrance Test (CUET). Exams are computer based and checks your reasoning skills and basic subject knowledge. Exams are of moderate difficulty.
