Remarks

My college is the best college I could have dreamt to be in. It was made so by the faculty, lab staff and the student folks whom I met. Exposure, the experience is more like the adventure roller coaster in Gargi. All it needs is a hostel to add stars to it.

Entrance Preview

Since this college is not only in top 10 science colleges in India but also has one of the best laboratory and collaborative lab staff and professors. As I reached there the management of the system, seniors handling admission duties all fascinated me. Laboratories and sports ground were a sight to behold.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

It was a beginning part of experimental FYUP but later changed to its normal form. Overall it was good. We used to have 5 hours of lab, zero period and classes in LTs. Student PPts and board presentations formed part of our internals which is still an ace giving confidence and skills.

Internships Opportunities

Not at UG level but yes later on for Ph.D. it does, stipend varies from person and project basis. Boards of our college are covered with new opportunities for internships.

Placement Experience

3

Placement here is a little less for science graduates but given the course its ok. For commerce, placements are pretty good in number. Placement cell which has both teachers and students union help students out with companies and their requirements. Center campus of the university to have the option of placements.

College Events

5

1. Diwali Mela 2. College fest -3to 4 days in February 3. Departmental fests (in January February) 4. Yoga day 5. NSS, NCC drives. 6. Sports day. Other intercollege, departmental, societies based competitions year long on various occasions. Students get to volunteer, earn and learn.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee is quite reasonable with my fees including labs being only 10700 per year. Varies on course to course basis. Funds are also provided to society members for various activities. Competitions do give an opportunity to earn extras, other concessions to be availed can be sent via applications.

Fees and Financial Aid

The scholarship is available for those from an economical weaker background. My friend got 3000 as a scholarship at that time.

Campus Life

5

My college was a girls college so not to mention skewed ratio towards females. Diversity ranging from states to different cultures and languages, even different socioeconomic status in a single room is no big surprise in Gargi. Sports, debates is one of the strength Gargi girls boast about.

Hostel Facilities

2

No hostel, but yes a canteen which definitely good. Accommodation is definitely the only lacuna of Gargi college which can be thought about in detail as students outstation find it difficult to afford reasonable rentals in such a high-class locality. Food issues can be resolved via hostel food.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni network and alumni meets are all organized and yes to a certain extent they are a good help. I remember our seniors visiting us and sharing notes to their personal experiences even career counseling.

Exam Structure

Exams are held on a semester basis with the internals of 25 marks and practical exams of 50 marks. Per year 2 semesters and result semester wise and cumulative. Exams are quite refreshing for a person attending regular classes, labs are bit elaborate, vivas etc

Admission

I filled the basic form of Delhi University and checked regular merits and luckily in very first cut off found my percentage according to the cut off of many colleges, Gargi being my first choice amongst all other colleges I qualified for. I also got along with my documents verification that included my 10,12 certificate along with other ID documents.

Faculty

5

They were very cooperative and even till date has helped me. During PPTs and exs they would spare extra time for students not only to solve their queries but also to give extra details even during after hours. Their contribution towards extracurriculars cant is undermined.

I will rate the course curriculum 8/10. I like the labs specially they are modern with well equiped systems. According to me I suggest to improve the course structure to include more practical based learning instead of theory. Overall course is good.

Various companies offer multiple roles for placements on our campus like Nation With NaMo, Deloitte, KPMG, Accenture etc. and the no. of offers made usually varies between 250-400 depending on the batch. The average package is around 6.5-7 LPA and the highest usually varies from 13-15 LPA L. Usually 50 percent of the students get placed directly from campus and rest usually pursue some other academic programs or even off campus placements.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I think that the course curriculum is good and well managed . The curriculum has all necessary subjects related to our course as well as all other necessary subjects like human values and basic ethics. I find our course curriculum is apt for our course . Thought their is a lag for more practical learning and skills. It will be better if they add more practical learning.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The syllabus of Electronics Hons and Electrical Engineering is same but makes it different is how we perceive it. We study the syllabus with theoretical aspects while the engineers with practical aspects. We have a chance to opt for the 4th year, which only comprises of Research. One of the optionals is Generic Elective and if you take GE from same department for all semesters, you will attain a minor degree. The Faculties and whole curriculum is great but the other optionals require improvement. The other optionals only make the Student Life hectic, that stumbles the Student's focus from Course track.

Students of 6th sem are eligible for the campus selection process. Our course also have placement programs. Some companies that visit here are TCS, Wipro and few more the no of offers made depend upon the performance of student in the placement cell. The highest package as per my knowledge is 13 lakhs and the average here is 6 lakhs. Sorry for the inconvenience but I don't have any knowledge regarding the job profile given. The placement percentage changes every year depending upon the respective batch. My planning after the course is either placement otherwise my prime goal CSE.
