Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum consists of various subjects and domain. There is a focus on case studies too. However, I believe the exposure of practical aspects of theoritical knowledge should be increased and made better. There are 2 exams in each term - mid term and end term. Also there are regular assignments and quiz that happen
Internships Opportunities
The institute provides campus placements for summer internships. There are also various live projects offered in campus. A lot of companies come to the campus for the internship opportunity and the institute is doing fairly good
Placement Experience
The campus placements is fairly good and is improving each year. The average package for 2022-24 batch is 1445000. The institute strives for placing all of its students. Many reputed companies come to campus and the institute is trying to expand its industrial collaboration
Fees and Financial Aid
The total fees for 2023-25 batch is 1600000. However the fees for 2024-26 has been increased to 1750000. There are additional charges for mess facility over and above this fees. The scholarships provided are by government and the details are mentioned on IIM Sirmuar website. The institute provides a need cum merit scholarship also
Campus Life
All major festivals are celebrated in IIM Sirmaur. Also, there are other events organised by different clubs and committees whether its fest, guest lectures, case competitions, etc. Due to temporary campus of IIM Sirmaur, the facilites are limited. However all major sports facilites are provided like football, cricket, gym, volleyball, badminton, etc
Hostel Facilities
The hostel is provided by the institute. The rooms are good. They are well built. However it does not have ACs due to temporary campus. All meals are provided in mess and there are special meals also on certain special occasions. The meals are average in taste.
Admission
The first step is to register for CAT exam and attempt it. Once the sectional and overall cutoff is cleared, the next step is GDPI round which happens through CAP. The institute provides reservation as per government guidelines. After taking into several parameters like diversity, GDPI score, CAT score, etc the final list is released
Faculty
There are around 60 students in each section. So the class size is limited. Also, IIM Sirmaur is hiring more and more faculties to make the education better. The faculties are available for students and students can interact with them any time.
Interview Experience
There was a personal interview for the admission. The CAT exam is followed by CAP process which conducts GDPI round. The interview consists of various domains like general knowledge, academic knowledge and other things.
