Course Curriculum Overview
One year is divided into 2 semesters. In each semester we have three exams. One is mid term exam of 30 marks. Final exam of 40 marks and 30 marks for submissions and practicals. Computer science is a very important field with great scope in future hence I chose this field. The course curriculum helps you prepare for placements as well.
Internships Opportunities
Students can find internships from 2nd year off campus but on campus internship oppourtunities start arriving from 3rd year onwards. Companies like celebal technologies have a training centre in the college itself where the students can opt for training followed by internship. Other companies that came for internships were byjus, seagate, sabre,mercer mettl offering stipend around 20000.
Placement Experience
Students start getting campus internships from 3rd year onwards and full time placements start from 4th year onwards. Companies like deloitte, ey, pwc, blackrock visited our campus with an average package of around 7LPA. Some students opt for hughest studies so they do no opt for placements. On an average around 40% students were placed through on campus placement.
Fees and Financial Aid
There are a number of scholarships offered to students based on academic merit and also sports merit. The total feels for 4 years was around 25 lakh which includes mess and college. Each year the tution fee increaased around 20,000.
Campus Life
There are a number of student chapters and clubs that are active in the college for art, crafts, dance, music, robotics and much more. Each classroom has a projecter and equipped with ac. Abhivarta is the annual sports fest, oneiros is the annual cultural fest and tech fest. Usually we have a famous performer at this fest. The college has a huge cricket ground, football field, basketball court and tennis court.
Hostel Facilities
All rooms are air conditioned and have private bathrooms. Water cooler is available on every floor. The hostel also has two lifts. There are 4 blocks for girls and 7 blocks for boys hostel. Mess is common for both boys and girls. There is also common gym and swimming facility in the hostels. There are various food and stationary outlets inside the hostel premises. The hostel is connected to the college through an underground subway for student safety.
Admission
The admission process was done on the basis of manipal entrance test. There is cut off for each subject and computer science has the highest cut off as it is the most sought after course. Direct admissions also took place based on 10th and 12th percentage along with jee marks.
Faculty
The teachers are very knowledgeable and most of them are phds in their various fields. They are available for the students in case of any doubts. Students to teacher ratio is 1 to 50. The teachers have great experince in teaching from previous colleges as well.
