Course Curriculum Overview

4

The curriculum is great. The Research is given utmost importance. Some of the assignments they give are not helpful. It's a very hectic college. The course curriculum is good. We have 3 assessments and one final examination spun over 5 months.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee is extremely low for Indians and even lower for Karnataka residents. The NRI fee is higher. They take fines to give you a hall ticket if your attendance is low and if you fail an exam, you have to pay extra to write the supplementary exam.

Campus Life

4.5

We have blossoms, Nritta Dance Fest, choir, and a lot more. Campus life is great, it's a huge campus with activities, carnivals, and food fests going on almost every day. It's a very beautiful campus. A lot of clubs, some even in collaboration with different countries, street plays, and flash mobs happen every single day. It gives you a lot of opportunities to grow.

Admission

It is extremely tough to get into the college. They have an entrance and an interview round which Includes a micro presentation, i.e on the spot a topic is given and you have to speak on it, skill assessment- write two essays on the topic they give (not the same as micro presentation topic ) and the interview.

Faculty

4

The majority of the faculty members have doctorates. Some faculty have great teaching techniques. It all depends on the faculty you get. It's a hectic college. Lots of assignments and exams. Lots and lots of fests are conducted. Discipline and dress code are given utmost importance. It is not tough to approach the faculty.

Central University of Karnataka - [CUK], Bachelor of Arts [BA] (English)

Course Curriculum Overview:

The BA English curriculum at the Central University of Karnataka is comprehensive and academically relevant. The course covers British Literature, American Literature, Indian Writing in English, Literary Theory, Linguistics, and Cultural Studies, providing students with a strong foundation in language and literature. The interdisciplinary approach under NEP and the availability of electives were among the factors that influenced my decision to choose this course.

Placement Experience:

The university does have a placement team which faculy and student led. Studnets become eligible for placements towards the end of their fourth year - last semeter. Approximately 100-150 NGO's come to campus for recruiting. The university does not promote private firms for placement but students can apply indivitually. The average pay is 20 Lakh per year. Many students after undergraduation opt for higher studies, so is my plan. But most of the master's students opt for placement and 98% - 99% get placed into NGO in top positions. I plan to pursure a masters degree after my undergraduation, preferably in economics.

Reviewed on Aug 7, 2023(Enrolled 2023)

Course Curriculum Overview:

I selected BA(English) course. Because I was quite good at English that's why I chose it. And I still Didn't go to college. Because our class starting date didn't announce by the college (Kittel arts college, Dharwad). That's why I have no idea about teaching staff and facilities. Of course, I hope it will be the best that I heard about this (kittel arts college, Dharwad) college. I heard only positive comments about this college.

Placement Experience:

In the final year students become eligible for placements and we have placement cell also. In 2nd year only we have attended 2-4 news channels interview and training. But due to pandemic, we didn't attend placements and all. And our seniors to didn't attend for placements because they are interested in higher education. So the percentage of placements is not clear, but for us, they prepared fully to attend any type of job interviews and also to handle all juniur of news channel and newspaper.
