Course Curriculum Overview

4

I chose B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering with specialization in Software Engineering. I want to become a software developer and thus I chose the course. The curriculum was relevant to the study but it lacked more practical or real life approach rather it was just theoretical understanding. I will applaud some of our faculties though, they have been great and have done more than what is expected from a faculty. The academic year was divided in two semesters each having their own internal and final examinations. So all in all we had 4 internal exams and 2 final exams in a single academic year

Internships Opportunities

4.5

Most of the company is that come for internships are basically for the position of either graduate software engineer of juniors of engineer or for sales so depends on your task depends on your skills of how the student can accommodate the stars and their selected on the basis of the test and interview that occur for the internship everything is a specified beforehand such as the stipend orbituration of the internship whether it is work from home or work from office a whether it is full time or part time. Big company such as Amazon Flipkart or Wipro TCS have all common for internships and full time offers post internship also.

Placement Experience

4

Students from 6 semester can apply for internships and can take part in a full time internship after getting permission from the University in written form. Many big companies like TCS, Accenture, TATA ELXSI, Microsoft, Flipkart, Amazon, and many more have visited and taken tests either in offline mode or online mode to hire and onboard students

Fees and Financial Aid

The tuition fee for me was 2.5 lacs per academic year then we had 1.44 lacs as hostel fees, other than that we need to pay examination fee for finals / end sems examinations, that is another 3000 per academic year. The backlog charges are 750 per subject. All in all in a year including personal expenses from the top to bottom will be around 5.5 lacs and this is not a lavish style of living. But again Bangalore is an expensive place and everything is costly here. To pay for tuition fees, the college also had an option of paying the fees through liquiloan, a company in partnership with the University that helps students get student loans.

Campus Life

4

There are many events that occur in the campus not just annual event but events at the national levels such as khelo India occurred or singing festivals occur we also have an annual event named Infinity it is just for the college. There are clubs from all the department or different types of cultural activities there are clubs for dance music singing for technical events for open source software and everything. There are many spot events that occur that competitions the also have the teams for all the sports such as hockey golf volleyball basketball football cricket etc. All the classes are active with the projector white board white screen and camera fans and basic furnitures.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

The hostels are very clean the hostels are very special we have an option of either living in living with three person so the rooms up bed we have a bed we have abrone cupboard will have attached bathroom and a balcony there are water coolers on every floors of the hostel there are also some AC room table for not able to live without AC. The mess also included in the hostel fees and the food is relatively better as a had put from other universities and colleges before and did not taste as good as our college it's not the best one I would say but it is okay sleep not very great but not bad either. Registration process of of the hostel is very simple and easy. You can avail the wholesale facility while paying for the tuition fees and inform the particularly executive that is taking care of your admission process that you would also require the hostel.

Admission

Eligibility of the course was pertained with that the student should achieve 60% or more in 12th class while having maths and Science as a full time subject. Qualifying the jet exam Jain entrance test and it was not only helpful for the admission process but it also helped with this scholarships. All the application forms fees and application dates in the exam dates were available in the admission portal of the Jain University. An executive from join also assistant during the whole process of digestion as such as explain in the course different types of subject specialisation and the fee structures the benefits of the giving the exam and also help in understanding the process of scholarship.

Faculty

3.5

All the faculties had their own way of teaching and mentorship. The faculties were experienced enough to teach but I would say that some of these methods were not as effective as they would think. Many a times it happened that faculties assumed that the students would be knowing the part and skipped a topic or a fundamental part of a topic. Interaction with all the faculties was very easy and their approachability was commendable. It was super easy to approach them to clear our doubts or just understand things not just academic but also of life.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum is a mix of both Computer Science and AIML which is increasingly relevant in today's world. Second year: Subjects like Mathematics for AIML, Data Structures, Stats for Data Science, Computer Networks, Third year: DBMS, ANN, ML operations Some other elevtives are also available and courses like Universal Human Values, POME, EIPR etc. Honestly, POME, EIPR, UHV should have less course credits and probably MCQ type exams (like IC and Yoga in first year). Curriculum is good and updating for applications helped along with projects. Exams are generally once in a month, 1.5 - 2 units for each subject each exam. Lab exams at the very end before CIE marks finalization. Then 2 weeks gap for Lab SEE, then 1 week gap and actual SEE's.

Placement Experience:

KSIT has an average placement rate of 70%-85% depending on the branch . CSE,ISE and ECE branches have higher placements while mechanical and civil have fewer opportunities in IT sector . Average package is about 4-6LPA . KSIT attracts many IT based recruitiers with some core companies for non -IT branches . It also provides pre-placement training, coding boot cams, aptitude tests and soft skills development . Alumni network is moderate, but students need off-campus efforts for high paying jobs
