College management is very helpful and listen to your every demands and it those demands are right they will fulfill them. Overall this college is good in all aspects.
Entrance Preview
I had given WBJEE joint examination and i scored 94 out of 200 in that exam and i got the rank 1777. I opt for jadavpur university as it is autonomous and has its own rules and regulation and also its fee is very less. You can do engineering in ?10,000 only.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is easily available on Jadavpur university website for every streams. However course structure should be improved as some semesters have more easy subjects and some semesters have more number of difficult subjects. Overall it consists of good exposure of your particular field as well as some knowledge of related fields as well.
Internships Opportunities
Yes, my college provide internship. The companies which came for internship in my branch are cesc ltd. And pwc The stipend was around ? 40,000 and some students get internship through DAAD scholarship and some through the professors also.
Placement Experience
The placements is very good. In my branch 35 out of 40 students were placed. The maximum package was around 13 l.p.a and average was 4.5 l.p.a . The major companies that visited our campus are amazon, microsoft,google,zs associates,samsung,reliance,mu sigma,congnizant,tcs,infosys,wipro,cesc,l&T,vedanta power,pwc,and many more.
College Events
There are a total of 5 university events and 2 departmental events. The university events are cippuss, U-turn(university fresher),sanskriti(cultural fest), Arena(sports fest), Romanthan(farewell) and departmental events are fest for the freshers and a reunion fest.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is very feasible. You have to give ?5600 for first 2 years and then ?2300 for 3rd year and again 2300 for fourth year. The semster examination fee is also very less. It is around ?64 for each semester. And the supplementary examination fee is ?25 per subject.
Fees and Financial Aid
Scholarships are offered for poor students as full freeship and half freeship on the basis for income certificates of their parents and the interview conducted by the college. No loan facility is provide by the college.
Alumni/Alumna
The alumni of this college are very helpful for us. Each deprtment conducts their departmental reunions where the alumni came and give us informations about the difficult ies faced by them in the industry and what should we do to avoid them.
Exam Structure
Exam structure is not so good. You have to give a lot of exams . There are two classtests in each semester for each subjects then you have to give lab vivas for each lab subjects and then comes the semester exams foe each theory subjecs. The exams schedule are very hectic and will make you tired after the end of the semesters.
Admission
The admission process is easy you have to opt for the WBJEE counselling process (as the process changes every year you can get the information from the information brochure) . If anyone is eligible then he/she will get the desired seat and then you just have to go to the college to show the needed documents and take the admission. The administration is very helpful they will help you for whatever you ask for.
Faculty
The faculties are well qualified but some are very keen to teach but some didn't show much interest in teaching. There are also some faculties who are keen to teach but they don't know how to teach and how to make students understand any topics. More than half of the faculties are very helpful they will also provide you extra materials to read. If any one want to do any projects under someone he will give you some projects as well.
