Course Curriculum Overview

The teaching method is fine. As one might know the first year of any engineering stream would be the same. It would be basic science and mathematics. Only from the second year the students learn subjects related to their stream. Those subjects are related to the stream. The frequency of exams are fine.

Internships Opportunities

There are many companies which come for placements to SRM. Some if those are Amazon, Google, apple and many other. To get placed for sure one should have done many projects and extra courses related to their fields other than btech.

Placement Experience

Students are eligible to placements from sixth semester. Internships can be took at any semester. My plan is to get placed in a company once I finish my degree. The percentage of students getting placed is more than 50%.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee to be paid each year for CSE core in SRM is 450000. Apart from tution fee an individual should pay for their hostels if they opt for one. Many scholarships are provided by SRM. Such as Employee ward scholarships, sports scholarship, founders scholarship and many more.

Campus Life

SRM is known for its extra curricular activities. One is the event called MILAN which is south India's biggest cultural event, which is known throughout India. Many clubs are present in SRM from sports club to coding club. A sport playing individual has many facilities in SRM.

Hostel Facilities

There are both AC and non AC rooms available. To handle the heat it would be best to take AC rooms than the non AC rooms. The quality food is average. Registration process for hostel is done along with the enrollment process.

Hostel Fee: INR 120000 per year

Admission

I applied to sathyabama college and got a course not of my interest. But still I chose SRM over sathyabama since the placement percentage of SRM is higher than that of sathyabama. To get a engineering seat in SRM one write the online entrance exam and there is no other way to get a seat in SRM.

Faculty

Faculty to student ratio is fine. There are 3 cycle tests every month for each subject. Then one should write the end term examination. This process occurs for each semester. The course curriculum is relevant to the course.

Placement Experience:

In our University from the starting of Seventh semester we are eligible for campus placements. Campanies like Jubilant food works, Zifo Technologies, Amura Heath Pvt.Ltd, Biocon etc. were some of the companies that visited our campus. Around fifty students got offers from these companies. About 70 percentage of the students got placements successfully. I am planning to pursue a master degree abroad

Likes

Many clubs available from Toastmasters to Campus Life, Our club Toastmasters is one of the peak highlights of our college. We regularly go to corporates to attend meetings of their clubs and network a lot.
Love the Research setup of our college. Has more than 15 COEs present. ABB research centre is the best among them
The bring in a lot of industry professionals every.One or the other event always keeps happening.

Dislikes

Campus is not very huge since it's in the centre of the city but the outside shops make up for this

Placement Experience:

From the very entry into your third year, you will be eligible to most of the placements. The training provided is very exquisite and some of the trainings start as early as 1st year. 2026 highest package was 55LPA. Many companies like from product companies like Microsoft, Capgemini to service based companies like TCS, INFOSYS etc.. visit our campus for regular placements. About 98% of people placed as far as I have heard.

The library is really Awesome in every aspect.
The facilities and labs and everything needed for studies is way above the bar. Great university to actually study and research.

No culturals, and if there is some only secular songs
Strict rules (needed, but some are too strict)

Placement Experience:

From the sixth semester the student are eligible for placements and prominent companies such as bicon, lifecell, zoho, Thermofisher, lmt mindtree, jubilant food works, siemens, bioartha and around 2030 offers has been made os of april 2026 for my batch. the percentage of students getting placed is over 95 percent as the rest of the students have opted for higher studies like me. i plan on doing my masters abroad.

Paramedicals pros and cons

Colleges which I have applied for was Sree Ramachandra institute in tamil nadu, MGR University IISER But I only got confirmed admission from SRM by writing a medical entrance exam.
