- College has a great infrastructure. Spacious and comfortable classrooms with multiple high capacity auditorium
Dislikes
- Curriculum is similar to many other private universities. So if you want to learn something new you will have to do some digging yourself
- Current library is little small to cater to the amount of students but the new one is being built
Course Curriculum Overview
The course is relevant to build your basics across all the fields for computer science but you will have to work on top of that to get the best mastery in your place of interest. The exam's difficulty do vary but mostly the exams are on the medium level
Internships Opportunities
Well I was close enough to get jnternsip with PayPal and dell but just couldn't get my name on the. Short listed list. Anyways here's a quick process to guide you how it works out over here at Manipal; 1 you have to appear for an online test 2 if you clear test the you would be called up for an interview 3 there could be multiple rounds of interviews consisting of both technical and hr 4 and you finally land you offer The process is pretty much the same for placements as well
Placement Experience
There are ample amount of placement opportunities here. So you would really have to put your best effort to grab one. Oracle, blackrock, PayPal, dell, Deloitte, Accenture, zscalar are some of the recruiters that visit the campus often. Most of the companies would be offering in range of about 7-12 lpa.
Fees and Financial Aid
So the overall course fees per year comes to about 3,25,000 for computer science and engineering. This includes everything from the side of college. One may avail the scholarships but merit based scholarships are very limited and are mostly based on a good jee score. Apart for that students having a single mother and for students who's parents serve in the armed forces can also apply for a guaranteed scholarship.
Campus Life
Campus life is really enjoyable because you would be surrounded by some of the other fest round the year. It's a very vibrant college and there are tons of clubs you could join out of your interest and be a part of it as well
Hostel Facilities
So the hostel is quite a lot on the costlier side. They say that the provide you air conditioned rooms but there ac work only after 6 pm in the evening on weekdays and would service fully on weekends. Moreover it's not the best working air conditioning you would be experiencing. Moreover the mess food is good but it's very repetitive so you are ought to get bored by it some day. But overall it's all good you can head out to a restaurant inside you hostel for a meal and they do serve until 2 am so that Great.
Admission
Well I never wanted to study in India for my bachelors But unfortunately covid hit so i didn't really have a lot of options to choose from and I wanted to pursue computer science so choosing Manipal University was the best option of my table
Faculty
The student to faculty ratio is towards the higher side but faculty's are more than welcome to meet the students after class. We have 2 major examinations mid terms and end terms apart from the some online quizzes for internal marking
