Course Curriculum Overview

This is 3 year course and also b.voc which means you you gain more practical knowledge than theoretical, which helps students to secure jobs and make a good career. This course has a good career options for students who are interested in microbiology and hematology

Class Size: 45Course Fees: INR 45000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

45k is the amount I was paying for 1 year and it is a 3 year course means 135k is the total fees. Fees remains same for all categories student. Fees is normal as compared to course. There are total 50 seats in this course. Teachers are very good and make students learn everything easily. Faculty are very good and all the staff behave very well. It has a bright career options in this course,it can become a lab technician and other paramedical staff.

Campus Life

There will be foundation day between 25-27 October. In this all the students enjoy very much. Zakir Hussain library is the biggest library of jamia millia islamia. Sports complex includes cricket ground, football ground, volleyball court, tennis, basketball, badminton table tennis and all the games

Admission

I also applied for Delhi University. I got selected in bsc.zoology. I didn't take admission because I want to pursue my career in microbiology field and in paramedical. This is the course where I can gain both knowledge of paramedical and microbiology

Faculty are very nice they always support all the students. I love the faculty of science members because they are highly educated. There are two sessional test and one semester exam. Exam are moderate,all the students pass the exam

JESUS & MARY COLLEGE - AN UNDERRATED GEM

Likes

Jesus & Mary College is known for its serene and clean campus. The infrastructure is well maintained and any issues regarding it are promptly addressed.
This college brings students from diverse background together which promotes a holistic development for all . The crowd of JMC stands out again , the students specialise in different sports, art styles and other soft skills .
The BVOC department offers two courses i.e healthcare management and retail management which are practical and designed to help students discover their potential in respective fields.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for campus placements from 4th or 5th semester. Deloitte , Bain & company, PWC ,EY, Grant Thornton (for consulting services) offer the highest package to roles like analyst and accountant. Other companies such as ICICI Bank, Kotak securities , Inshorts , Urban company,HUL, Wipro,ITC hotels , Appollo Hospital etc. the highest package recorded in 2024 was 23.05 LPA and average package as 6 LPA . 85-90% of the eligible students get the placement, the data might vary as some students opt for 4th year for their research work. My plans after getting the degree lie in marketing or consulting field.

Likes

they teachers are very approachable and helpful
the environment of the college is really friendly and lively
the college does not have any such cases of bullying

Dislikes

the college needs to have more facalty for the students
the college needs to focus more on events
the college needs to renovate itself according to new technologies

they course curriculam is quite interesting as my course reatil management and it is a very new course it is very mordern in terms of subjects subjects such as e commerce, reatil display, cargo, etc the couse helps in understanding retail with mordern ways.

Placement Experience:

From the second year people are eligible for internships and placements. Our course and college offers very well placements as compared to other colleges in terms of the industry exposure. My plan is to do the 4- year course and then do a job for 1-2 years then start my own business while pursuing masters degree

The auditorium or we say av hall in av hall we attend seminars counselling which is good for us
The receptionist takes good care and talk politely
The faculties are awesome they are very talented and supportive

Dislikes

The classroom are not well maintained .
The fans in classroom or the boards they should maintain them
And during summers we hate suffer suffocating so ventilation should improve

Placement Experience:

The placement of our college is actually quite good I have seen the some of the top hospital to take our college students in them so They will provide placement to everyone the minimum package is around 3-4lacs I don't know about the highest till now

My experience as a first year student in CVS, DU

Likes

The only college providing vocational courses
College has a girls common room and boys common room
The locality is also good, flats and pgs are easily available and also food is easily accessible

Dislikes

New building has not yet been opened despite the construction has been completely
Exam timings for the students pursuing vocational course are 2:30 to 5:30 which makes it too hot in summers
There are a lot biasness over cast aspect

Course Curriculum Overview:

I'm pursuing Human resource management and as I have mentioned before CVS is the only college providing vocational courses. The reason I chose this course is it is skill based and also i wanted to have a career in HR field. The comprehensiveness and understanding of this subject is quite good, it covers topic that one studies in his or her MBA. Their are areas that need to be improved like practical applicability of the subjects that we are taught, the college should take initiatives to let students use the learnings in a real world scenario by providing them internships or by taking them to corporate visits. The exams are conducted semester wise and their difficultly level is moderate. The exam timings for vocational courses is 2:30-5:30 p.m

from the 5th semester, you become eligible for placements. Maruti, Hyundai, Shriram pistons, Merceds benz, daimalier, Honda, Behl, Gail, 100+ more companies. 5LPA to 15 LPA is the offered package. 98% of students receive placements annually. My plans are to study abroad after this.

The placements are very good, Placement cell regularly organizes placement drives, and companies like ktmg, amazon, TCS are invited for the drive. A large population of students sitting for the placement drive get placed with a good package. Students can sit for internships in the second year. The highest package made in my course was 7 lakh per annum. About 93% percent of the students get placed.

An Engineering student perspective about JMI

I selected in JMI through PMSSS so there are 2 rounds in this scholarship, In first round I got KIT Odisha.I contacted with the students in KIT they suggest me to go for the round 2 so then I proceed with round 2 and I got selected in JMI. Take a look at my college

As I have mentioned earlier that the fees for my btech course is very cheap as compare to other colleges that's why I chose this college over other colleges this college gives you a good return on investment as fees is very less and average package is also decent. No I didn't applied for any other colleges nor I didn't receive any rejection. Admission process is very simple and smooth for this college and course. First of all you have to give jee mains exam and to score good rank if your rank lies less than 1.5lakhs you will surely get admission in this college for any btech branch according to your rank. So after getting cutoff rank you will need to fill their seperate registration form for admission as this University doesn't participate in josaa and other counselling it conducts their own counselling so for this you have to fill their admission form in around month of March -April then after declaration of jee mains result they start selecting students according to their cutoff and give them admission.If your name comes then simply you just have to go with your documents and complete their admission process and pay fees then that's it your admission is complete and start your classes....Read More
