Course Curriculum Overview

The courses and the regulation is very up to date and changes when ever necessary SRM makes sure the students have the most recent knowledge of their subjects Helps in research a lot and is a very good quality for my research based courses

Internships Opportunities

Variety of companies come to SRM to interview and take students for internships and then placements Big companies like barkley Wipro, fidelity all come to SRM and offer internships Even small startups hire students from here

Placement Experience

From 3rd year students become eligible for placements Placement scene in SRM is very good as around 100% of the students do get placed Average placement is 10L per annum My plans is to peruse higher studies not placements

Fees and Financial Aid

Total yearly fees, including exam fees is 2.6 L for biotech students. I fall under NRI / international student so I pay exam fees with my early tution fees Otherwise normal exam fees are around 2000 rupees for a semester Computer science students usually have the highest tution fees ranging up to 4 lakhs

Campus Life

Campus life is very exciting, fun and happening It's a very healthy environment and a lot of things keep happening like clubs and different fests Sports is very big old in SRM it has good class infrasTructure Technology provisions in classrooms is good and improving as smart boards keep coming

Admission

I only applied to SRM among the private colleges of India because for genetic engineering I've heard it had the best faculties in India and I haven't been proven wrong Admission process is through SRMJEE And enternece exam held in 3 phases

Faculty

1. Faculty student ratio is good in my department, faculties are approachable and help you a lot 2. Exams go in this manner Internals have projects and cycle tests Usually 2-3 cycle tests are conducted and one proper project and other assignments are conducted for internal marking The main weightage falls in the external marking that is the end semester exams

Overall Good

Placement Experience:

In our University from the starting of Seventh semester we are eligible for campus placements. Campanies like Jubilant food works, Zifo Technologies, Amura Heath Pvt.Ltd, Biocon etc. were some of the companies that visited our campus. Around fifty students got offers from these companies. About 70 percentage of the students got placements successfully. I am planning to pursue a master degree abroad

Likes

Many clubs available from Toastmasters to Campus Life, Our club Toastmasters is one of the peak highlights of our college. We regularly go to corporates to attend meetings of their clubs and network a lot.
Love the Research setup of our college. Has more than 15 COEs present. ABB research centre is the best among them
The bring in a lot of industry professionals every.One or the other event always keeps happening.

Dislikes

Campus is not very huge since it's in the centre of the city but the outside shops make up for this

Placement Experience:

From the very entry into your third year, you will be eligible to most of the placements. The training provided is very exquisite and some of the trainings start as early as 1st year. 2026 highest package was 55LPA. Many companies like from product companies like Microsoft, Capgemini to service based companies like TCS, INFOSYS etc.. visit our campus for regular placements. About 98% of people placed as far as I have heard.

The library is really Awesome in every aspect.
The facilities and labs and everything needed for studies is way above the bar. Great university to actually study and research.

No culturals, and if there is some only secular songs
Strict rules (needed, but some are too strict)

Placement Experience:

From the sixth semester the student are eligible for placements and prominent companies such as bicon, lifecell, zoho, Thermofisher, lmt mindtree, jubilant food works, siemens, bioartha and around 2030 offers has been made os of april 2026 for my batch. the percentage of students getting placed is over 95 percent as the rest of the students have opted for higher studies like me. i plan on doing my masters abroad.

Colleges which I have applied for was Sree Ramachandra institute in tamil nadu, MGR University IISER But I only got confirmed admission from SRM by writing a medical entrance exam.
