- The campus is very scenic and full of greenary.
- The seniors are very helpful and no ragging takes place.
- The professors are well versed in their domains
Dislikes
- Everything is very far from the boys hostel
- There is a curfew after 9 pm so the boys can not leave the hostel block
- The mess food is decent but needs a little time to get used to
Course Curriculum Overview
We have a test every 2 months we have CAT-1 it the first test and has the first 2 or 3 modules based on the size of the topics. Next we have CAT-2 which is an open book test. Then we have FAT(final assessment test).
Internships Opportunities
I am a fresher and do not have a idea about this. But as of what I heard from the senior, they pay is not the highest, but they get to learn a lot from the people already. We have a compulsory project that you will based on your core subject.
Placement Experience
You are eligible to apply for placement from 7th semester to 8th semester. Or you might get a pre placement offer (PPO). The percentage of people getting placed over the past few years is pretty high.
Fees and Financial Aid
I had to pay a caution deposit of 9000 Tution fees was 507000 The mess charges are included with the hostel fees Hostel fees is around 175000 for 2 sharing bed room Additionally we will have to purchase a scientific calculator which is around 1500
Campus Life
There is a technical fest called GraVITas, it happens in the month of September. We also have a cultural fest called Reviera. Almost all the clubs are student run some are technical clubs that give you an edge in placements keep in touch with seniors to get into the clubs.
Hostel Facilities
Hostels are nice but the rooms are a little cramped. Apart from that there is no recreational room. There are 2 bathrooms in each floor and are cleaned twice a day. There is room cleaning service available which is free of cost. There is also a laundry service you get 44 washes per year, you will have to pay to avail the facility after that.
Admission
I had applied for PES university. VIT seemed to have a better brand value. And I had been in Bangalore for most of my life and wanted to be in a different environment. I do not regret the decision that I have taken.
Faculty
The faculty ratio is about 70:1 I am in first year so I am not sure about all the faculty but there are some blacklisted faculty ask your seniors to get information about your professors. Most of the learning happens mostly by self study, do not expect the teacher to hand everything to you a silver spoon
