Course Curriculum Overview

4

I would rate my course as moderately comprehensive and relevant for me. The curriculum influenced my decision as I got a core knowledge of my subjects and also I got integration of computer science with my subjects. Theo college prepares us for the real world applications and trains us as per the industry requirements so that we can outshine in the indusrty and can be better than others. Something that can be improved is more application based learning to make us more better, they can provide us more industry exposure and can keep us updating with the technologies.

Fees and Financial Aid

The yearly fees is 12000-15000 for my course. It charges a registration fees of 1000 supees. Some additional charges are library fees of 1500, developement fees of 1000, lab fees(for my course): 3000, caution money of 1000 rupeesother muscellaneous charges of 2000 rupees. Category wise fees generally differ by 50% of the fees. Fees is reduced gor the other categories and for the students from management quota have the same fees as the normal fees. There are multiple scholarships and financial aids granted to the students majorly the merit based scholarship of 10,000 to 15,000, SC/ST Scholarship of 50% to 70%. Many scholarship programs like INSPIRE and state goverment scholarships for the students.

Campus Life

5

Our colleges organizes multiple annual and technical fest for the students. Some of them are Vibrations, it is the annual cultural fest of the college held in february or march. Students from accros DU participate in this event. Other fest are technexus, Codebyte and many more. Libraries have a vast range of books, papers and journals for the students. Students can issue the books from their student identity cards. The classrooms are modern with all the facilities of projectors and smart boards. we also have well equipped labs. Our college hold many sports events for the student i.e. cricket, badminton, football, table tennis, volleyball etc. For extracurricular activities there are clubs and socities to look on it and they organize multiple events for the students.

Admission

The collges that I applied for were Hindu College and Ramjas college but I was unable to get addmission there. The reason I chose Shivaji College was the reputation of college for the course I wanted to opt, I was much cinvinced by the curriculum of the college, a good socities and clubs. It also had a good campus life with the social interactions. These were the major reason for me to choose this college. I got rejected from the other colleges of the cut off I was not able to clear the cut off for other colleges. The admission process for my college is very simple as first of all you should be eligible for addmission later on your exam and cut off should be clear then you can apply for the admission by filling the admission form and following the procedures.

Faculty

5

We have very good faculties for us, all of them are highly qualified and the best mentors. The faculty ratio could be 1 teacher for every 25-30 students. All the teachers are easy to approach and get the help and information. The faculties that I like are Dr. Sunil kumar sir, Dr. Priya sharma mam, Dr. Rajesh Gupta sir, Dr. Anil kumar sir and many more. all these teachers are the guides for us and help us in improving our performance. We have mid term exams and end term exams in our college. The exam level is moderately difficult and if the student has paid attention in class then they can clear the exam smoothly. But some students fail to clear the exam, the failure rate is almost of 5% of total strength.

Placement Experience:

Students of 6th sem are eligible for the campus selection process. Our course also have placement programs. Some companies that visit here are TCS, Wipro and few more the no of offers made depend upon the performance of student in the placement cell. The highest package as per my knowledge is 13 lakhs and the average here is 6 lakhs. Sorry for the inconvenience but I don't have any knowledge regarding the job profile given. The placement percentage changes every year depending upon the respective batch. My planning after the course is either placement otherwise my prime goal CSE.
