Remarks

Even though shivaji college, Rajouri Garden is an off campus college, it is one of the finest colleges in Delhi. I have visited some college of DU but comparatively our college is better. We have separate rooms for special discussion of doubts with the teachers. Our library is superb.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

DU is one of the finest university in India. The syllabus are up to date. They are revising it after some certain amount of time period. Our batch was the second batch of a new system called the CBCS(choice based credit system). In this, the syllabus are updated(not on a large scale) and the grading system were introduced. There are more than 80 colleges under DU. And the examination is the same for all the colleges. The even semester exams are usually held in May and the odd semester exams in Nov/Dec every year. Also, same question set for all the colleges.

Placement Experience

4.5

The placements are organised by the placement cell, a student teacher body. They contact MNC and final year students who wants to take up jobs after graduating are called in for interview. I don't thinks there is any paid internship programme in our college. I have never heard of one.

College Events

4

So many events every year. Not only is our college good in education but also our college is one of the best when it comes to sports and other extra curricular activities. The NCC society of our college is the best in DU. There is this WDC(Women's development cell) which the largest in whole of Delhi. To name some of the events celebrated, we have :- The Freshers party, Library orientation programme, Tree plantation programme, Diwali mela, DEPARTMENT Festival, The college fest, Annual day, Sports day, WDC fest, NCC fest... There are so many...

Fee Structure And Facilities

Not that expensive. College admission fees are almost same with other college. We need to pay once for one whole year which is for two semesters and the exams fees are also included in this. Unlike other colleges,we have this fee concession programme where students with annual family income less than 1 lakh are given a one time scholarship depending on their incomes.

Fees and Financial Aid

For students whose annual family income is less than 1 lakh, special fee concession committee of the college provides a one time scholarship depending on their incomes. I don't know about loan facility. I have never heard of any.

Campus Life

3.5

The college laboratories for various departments are well equipped with up-to-date instruments. There is this physics lab, chemistry lab, botany lab, zoology lab... The staffs are well skilled too. The college sports ground is quite big comparatively. There is this one big football ground, one cricket pitch, two lawn tennis court, basketball court, table tennis indoors and chess and a volleyball ground.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni network is not quite good. There is this alumni meet for every department but its only once a year I think. We are not up to date with the alumnis. The senior student whom we met during our first year are still in contact with us. They helped us a lot.

Faculty

5

One of the best faculty. The teachers are always ready to lend their helping hands to the students. First I thought that since mine is an off campus college, the teachers would be like average. But I was wrong, I had the best teachers.

I will rate the course curriculum 8/10. I like the labs specially they are modern with well equiped systems. According to me I suggest to improve the course structure to include more practical based learning instead of theory. Overall course is good.

Placement Experience:

The students become eligible for campus placements in the 3rd year of their graduation. Various companies offer multiple roles for placements on our campus like Nation With NaMo, Deloitte, KPMG, Accenture etc. and the no. of offers made usually varies between 250-400 depending on the batch. The average package is around 6.5-7 LPA and the highest usually varies from 13-15 LPA L. Usually 50 percent of the students get placed directly from campus and rest usually pursue some other academic programs or even off campus placements.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I think that the course curriculum is good and well managed . The curriculum has all necessary subjects related to our course as well as all other necessary subjects like human values and basic ethics. I find our course curriculum is apt for our course . Thought their is a lag for more practical learning and skills. It will be better if they add more practical learning.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The syllabus of Electronics Hons and Electrical Engineering is same but makes it different is how we perceive it. We study the syllabus with theoretical aspects while the engineers with practical aspects. We have a chance to opt for the 4th year, which only comprises of Research. One of the optionals is Generic Elective and if you take GE from same department for all semesters, you will attain a minor degree. The Faculties and whole curriculum is great but the other optionals require improvement. The other optionals only make the Student Life hectic, that stumbles the Student's focus from Course track.

Some companies that visit here are TCS, Wipro and few more the no of offers made depend upon the performance of student in the placement cell. The highest package as per my knowledge is 13 lakhs and the average here is 6 lakhs. Sorry for the inconvenience but I don't have any knowledge regarding the job profile given. The placement percentage changes every year depending upon the respective batch. My planning after the course is either placement otherwise my prime goal CSE.
