Course Curriculum Overview

4

The chapters taught in most of the subjects are rather relevant from todays's standdard as they talk about the lastest technological aspects comparing each topic taugh to real life counter parts. Though some teachers struggle with some regions of their subject covered most of them are totally fine and totally know what they are talking about.

Internships Opportunities

4

The college provides internships in semester 2, 4 and 8 where the students are given hands on experience in the field which heps them learn the applications of their studies and better their skills. The students praise the intership programs a lot.

Placement Experience

4

The college placements in my college are average none the less. Most of the students do end up landing a 6-9L per annum job in a respectable companies leaving very few unplaced. The highest package this year was of 54L and the least was of 6L.

Fees and Financial Aid

The merit fees is the same for all the categories but categories such SC, ST, etc. are allowed shcolorship whereas if someone scores well in the enrance JET as well they are also alloted scholorship seats straught from jain. The tuition fees is 375000 where in the first year they take 25000 admission fees taking the total upto 400000. The students are allowed the option of liqui loan which is provided by the college partner through which the students get aid in paying their fee.

Campus Life

4

The college is lively and there are always people around doing someting or the other. There are multiple clubs in the college and they even perform in multiple events. The students are always around and there being two seperate hostels means that the hostel students always keep it lively till dawn.

Admission

I also applied for manipal bangalore and a few other colleges like VIT, BITs, SRM, etc. but I couldnt get into BITs and didn't want to go to VIT and SRM since I wanted to stay in bangalore. I wanted to go to manipal or jain but I dropped manipal because it was far from my house and jain was relatively close which meant I didn't have to shift to hostel.

Faculty

4

The Engineering courses are held in the main FET building whereas the mechnical, aerospace classes are held in a seperate building a bit futher away from the main college building. The faculty is very nice and most of the teachers work very closely with their students to get the best out of them. In a 4 year course comprised of 8 semesters there are a total of 3 exams held per semester. 2 IAs and Endsem. Most of the students clear all there exams leaving some who get backlogs in a few major or minor subjects based on their weakness.

Night Life

4

The college has a rather quite night life since the students who live in the hostel outside campus dont have much area to walk around and the hostl inside has strict rules regarding check in and check out timings.

Placement Experience:

Many top MNC's come to the college. Recently the placement opportunities has increased when compared to our batchs.Companies like TCS, Wipro, IBM, Infosys, SLK, Mphasis etc had given us the opportunity. The average package offer was 3.5lpa or 4lpa. The highest package known to me was 10lpa for a CS student not for us. The placements begins either at the end of 6th sem or in the beginning of 7th sem. Almost 60-70% of us were placed by the end of graduation but due to recession the onboarding was very late. Waited for more than a year to get onboarded.
