A Review

Overall the college has progressed a lot and it gives an atmosphere for the growth of an individual. There is exposure for growth. An individual can nurture the growth or mar it as well. It is all about keeping faith in oneself and doing the job right.

The curriculum is up to date and the exam structure is a combination of internal as well as terminal exams. There are two semesters in one year. The max marks are 100 out of which 60 are internals and 40 marks are for terminal exams.

The Placements and Job opportunities are good. Most placements vary from branch to branch. Most candidates are placed in good companies and others aim for higher studies. It is early to comment about internships as I have just passed First Year in this college.

There are three major events namely. Oneiros - Cultural Fest Abhivarta - Sports Fest TechIdeate - Technical Fest Other events are celebrated by the clubs of the college namely IEEE,E-Cell, Model United Nations.

The fee structure is comparable to other private and government engineering colleges. It is close to 2.5 lpa for academic and other charges are there for hostel and other things. Overall it is a bit expensive.

No, I haven't taken any loan facility as my parents pay the fees through savings. There are many scholarships based on merit. Loan facility is taken through private or government banks by mentioning education as the criteria for loan.

Labs are very well maintained and clean with tons of facilities. Sports infrastructure includes Basketball, Volleyball, Football, Cricket, Badminton etc. There is gym and also a pool (under construction).

The Hostel Infrastructure and facilities are Excellent. It is much better than most hostels of other engineering colleges. It has a certification for cleanliness. Overall, the experience in the hostel is great!

Senior Students are very helpful and may go to an extent for helping any junior. There is no ragging at all as it is banned in the hostel and stringent action is taken if ragging is found to be done by any student.

I gave the Manipal Entrance test and the results were out in 1 month. I got a rank and went to my college for counseling and secured a seat after the document verification and payment procedure. There were cut-off ranks for different branches in the BTech course.

The faculty is very good and almost 80-85% faculty are PhD holders else minimum MTech holders. The faculty is knowledgeable and do their part well. They encourage one to aim higher and are always ready to help. However, exceptions exist everywhere.
