What Students Say

Likes

First thing I like about our college is Infrastructure.
I also like the clubs and events for improving students creativity and leadership qualities
I also like faculty coordination with students for clear understanding.

Dislikes

Lab system maintanence is poor sometimes
Some faculty are not skilled and cannot communicate properly.
Library is not accessible for final years frequently due to some rules.

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose this course i.e Artificial intelligence and machine learning because it's one of the trending technology and I was interested in building AI tools. This course suits best to my interests and only suggestion from my side in teaching methods would be selecting more high skilled faculty who can communicate well with students and give real life case scenarios.

Class Size: 75Course Fees: INR 600000 per year

Internships Opportunities

We have several internship opportunities in our college.Recently my friend was offered and intern role in Siemens with a stipend of 40k per month. We ade exposed to several projects in 3rd and final years to get project management and real life experience.Trainer will be appointed for clearing our doubts and help us understand projects.

Placement Experience

Placements of this year college are moderate and still going.Companies approach our college Example: Capgemini, Infosys, Accenture and cognizant. We have to clear some rounds to select in interviews.Im still not offered any placement and trying to get in next companies.Otherwise my plans would be doing masters in abroad.

Fees and Financial Aid

Year wise fee that I pay is 75000 tuition fees and scholarship money by government would be 35000.Lab fees and placement fees for first years would be 20000.SC people would be getting full money scholarship.OC people will not get any scholarship who got rank above 10000.

Campus Life

My overall experience in college was exciting and i enjoyed a lot with my friends in Events and clubs. In first 2 years we will have many events to participate. The facilities and infrastructure of college is outstanding and give us comfort. We have sports teams like cricket, coco and kabbadi.Students run clubs like singing clubs, art clubs and Tech clubs.

Admission

I chose this college because my sister was already studying here and it was helpful for me.I also heard it is one of the top colleges so I applied to it.Admission process involves confirming admission and providing necessary documents of 10th and intermediate.I got rejected by jntu and vnr colleges due to requirement of rank below 10000 in EAMCET.

Faculty

Yes,all the faculty are helpful and highly qualified in our college. They clear all our doubts and provide clear understanding in the subjects. Our course curriculum is relevant and make students get real life experience in projects through internships and many things.

Night Life

Our college has canteen where the food will be very taste and maintain hygiene. Our hostel rooms are neat and food is manageable.Wardens take good care of hostel students. It also contains a mini gym.Our hangout spot in college is our ground steps and canteen to chill with our friends.Hostel surroundings are all safe and protected by watchman to roam around night time and walking.

Good college for getting a degree

Likes

Things I liked is our is around 40+ years old so the academic structure is well established but old fashioned
As it is Bachelor of engineering our college degree is good for higher studies like masters
Faculty are some what better compared to other colleges

Dislikes

No proper scope of physical education and sports
Attendance is considered very strictly and
Facilities in campus like proper sports equipment is not available for all games

Placement Experience:

From 5th sem to 8th sem campus placement gonna takes place there are many MNCs and startups visited for hiring like accenture etc and has highest package around 20 lakhs and avg package around 5lahks placement percentage is very good we can also do masters after degree

Life of an graduating person

Likes

Teaching was very good as compared to other colleges and faculty members have 8+ years and upto 20+years teaching experience and totally digital teaching method through smart board with PDFs and PPT's and the infrastructure was very good.
College is totally 7 blocks with a spacious ground and greenery around the college sand there is also campus hostel and bus facility available and learning facilities also very good with well furnished labs .
The curriculum is also better for professional and personal development and the placements services are very supportive for career advancement

Dislikes

The things I disliked are the timings of gates closing in morning session and there is no chance of going outside in the lunch hour .
Sometimes faculty doesn't explain some topics they will skip the topics to sit simply in the classroom with teaching
The security guards are very strict and they directly take id cards of students if they misbehave anything .

Placement Experience:

3-2 semester students will become eligible for campus placements and the companies visited are tech Mahindra, cognizant ,cap gemini, zentek, tcs, etc some of the top most companies also visited our college for placements and so many students have been placed in the companies with a good package there is almost 78% of students are getting placements in this college

NIAT - where learning and growing is fun

Likes

The teaching style and focus on practicals
More emphasis is given on coding and attending hackathons
Mentors and their constant support In building projects

Dislikes

The strict rules and pressure is real and can be frustrating sometimes
The infrastructure can be a bit better, like the building and space for games
There's very less extra curricular activities

Placement Experience:

From 4th sem itself students are eligible for placements. Although students get access to paid internships from their 1st year itself, just they need some effort. But as NIAT is yet new and no batch has passed out yet so we still don't have the exact placement percentage rate. But as we are getting paid internships from 1st year itself so it's very evident that placement would also be good

Remembering College Valuble Insights Feels so memorable being a final year student.

Likes

As i joined into marri laxman reddy institute ,The campus is in a village bakcground it feels so nice to live over their .We do have several sports commisions in our college.
Our college provides sports facility and The campus was so hugee ,The infrastructure is very useful(i am talking about digital teaching lab equipments and all)
The teachers were so friendly with the students and the college has a perfect strcture category for every department .

Dislikes

The teachers were so nice but the college and teachers doesnt support student to enhace the student personal growth. The teachers were take the class by learning the ppt without any conceptutal representing
The infrastructure is good but thier is no maintainance in the college,Campus feels huge but it degradss interms of maintainance and enhance the campus intemrs of neatness .it feels so that after we return back from the holidays
Most importantly, the canteen food is worst. My friend face an incident that he got a dead frog in the manchurian rice. And the food is most coastly maintains low quality

Course Curriculum Overview:

My college course curriculum is outdated .As im studying in computer science and engineering,i wpuld love to study about technological aspects and grow as a software engineering but in the course curriculam they teach my about mechanical workshops,There were no practical experience it jsut understanding the concept with theoritical part . i would love lo code but my college wastes entire time by helping with electricals, meachanical basics. i dont think is it really necessary for me understand in all the feilds they think that student should perform in all the fields as im in computer science and engineering student ,They should teach me more about coding and computer ,how it industries works and how these technology enhacning ,the arenot even explore about all these sectos they only teaching me about fundametals of all the subjects which is never useful for my studies . as i am in final year of btech i thought learning and deepdiving into computerscience and engineering subjects is more greater than learning all sector fundamentals,The area they need to improve is removing some of the oudated syllabus from their ciricullum and enhcing with the pratical experience not to teach only theoritical part. they have to teach all the areas with realtime examples. The timings of exams is very good .we do have 2 mid exams and one semester final exams for each sem and the subjects feels meduim level difficulty

My college experience inOUCE

Likes

One thing I like about this college is how the environment, good weather as there are many trees and garden to seat and have some fun.
The next I like about the college is about our faculty and the infrastructure.there are amazing teacher to explain the some of the toughest subjects ,lab are too good .
If some like to prepare for some other examinations like gate, civils .we have lot of free time to prepare for all other exams

Dislikes

Even though we have a good ground, there are many people in the ground who would distrub u ,these people come here for jogging and playing different sports and but they are not from our college
Wifi is not good the signal strength in our college is not good and we don't get good internet even from the mobile networks too.this is more irritating many times.
As it is open campus many vehicles would be passing and many unknown people would there around.we just have only one technical synopsis,as many private colleges have more than one fest.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good, many of my friends have placed but I haven't placed yet and I am searching for the job ,and I have been applying for the placements and I have been for interview in some of them and not selected for the job.

Reality of deccan college of engineering and technology

Likes

The faculty of the college is quite good
The college is in the middle of city which helps a lot
There is compulsion for 75℅ attendance and the college is open gate

Dislikes

Infrastructure is very poor.. Buildings and classrooms, benches, and computers used are very old
No sports and other extra-curricular activites and no provision for canteen
Campus is very boring.. Toilets are not clean.. The admin staff is very rude

Placement Experience:

Placement cell is least active.. Few good companies like Infosys, amazon, TCS etc visited but the average package is of 1-2 LPA and only 25-30% of students whose all exams are cleared can sit in the placement cell. The highest package is of 8LPA. My plan is to move abroad for higher studies.. The students after completion of 6th sem can sit in placement cell

Nice college but lot of improvements are required

Likes

The faculties are highly knowledgeable, understandable and are helpful in studies and they even mentor us in some important aspects.
Course curriculum is perfectly designed to prepare for any competitive exams that a student may be appearing.
There is not much academic pressure on students. They have ample of time to prepare for any competitive exams.

Dislikes

Management by the college and the faculties are not good
There are not much companies visiting campus. Majority of them are either for non-technical roles or are mass recruiters.
Campus crowd is not good for growth for any serious student.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements after their 6th semester. The companies start visiting in 7th and 8th semesters. The companies are not much good and are mostly service based. So the placement statistics are also not much good. The highest placement last year was 10 lpa and the median placement was around 4.1 lpa. The placements were starting from 2.5 lpa. The better option for students is to apply for off-campus placements or start preparing for competitive exams

In Emacet exam your rank matters a lot and also your caste, basically even if you get like nice rank or like the worst trunk if you have like a reservations, you can easily get a good colleges for example I am a student I have. I got like 27,379 Rank and my ST friend got 40,789 and she also got the same course as me and she even has a scholarship. The reason why I got into this college was because at the first time I selected this automatically and I couldn't change it in the second round so I'm stuck in this college. the cutoff scores of the ranks differ according to the years and in the college increases cutoff ranks also decreasese....Read More
